A hero isn’t defined by winning. Loads of heroes die in the effort. Most of them never get any recognition. No, a hero is just somebody who does the right thing when it would be far, far easier to do nothing.
It is ... Confusing. Probably because I haven't read the previous chapters but still at places I don't get the idea if Dominic is sleeping or not and who's dangerous for who ... I could see the point with traveling trough the forest and stuff but it's a bit too fairytale-ish for me and I'm also getting the feeling that some parts are taken from Twilight. This could use a lot of work but this is just my opinion.
