Summertime,
she says to me:

We skip away to drip ice cream
on t-shirts, poodle-skirts,
and fast cars
that we consider stealing
so we can drive to the beach.

For now,
caught up in the ice cream romance
of a summer sun
and a boy playing his guitar,
we lean our heads back
against the perfect white skin of happiness
and sigh,
and are content.

Well, this is a nice refresher form the gloomy and Gothic-Twilight themed poems that are getting all too abundant in appearance. I like how it is short but sweet, has enough description for the reader to picture the scenes, and the diction is not bad. I can tell that this takes place in the past because no one wears Poodle Skirts anymore *laugh*. It is also not too mushy, which I hate. It also flows well.

No revisions from me, great poem!

..- It just seems like you could have worded that differently. It seems a bit choppy here. With all the "and's".
Maybe it's just me.

Other than that, great job.
Nice poem.

This is very cool and refreshing, personally I find it hard to write happy poetry (I guess I just like being sad or something) and you have gone very well with this and it was a pleasure to read and really give the essence of the classic summer coming through. Good job, Keep writing!
A hero isn’t defined by winning. Loads of heroes die in the effort. Most of them never get any recognition. No, a hero is just somebody who does the right thing when it would be far, far easier to do nothing.

I don't know exactly how to review this. It's great the way it is. Once again, you enchant me with your quirky, colorful style and imagery, painting a perfect little picture of happiness and lighthearted summer love. I especially liked the reference to poodle-skirts. :P Kind of gave the poem a retro feel, like an old photograph of 50's teens skipping around on a beach in swimsuits that are likely more modest than today's casual wear. Well done!
You must be swift as the coursing river,
With all the force of a great typhoon,
With all the strength of a raging fire,
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon.

they got that magical iridescence that you don't expect to be on a sky rat y'know
