Star Wars: Death Trooper cover art

Being somewhat of a Star Wars nerd I knew the time would come when I would eventually draw something Star War's related........and here it is!
It's the cover to the novel, "Star Wars: Death Troopers".
I finished this in about an hour and I realize it's sloppy and I'm not happy with the hook going into his eye but what's done is done I guess....hope all you Star Wars fans out there will appreciate it.

I have to admit that yes, your picture does indeed look very much like the original cover (I actually haven't watched that much Star Wars or anything..I just Googled this. xD)

Yeah, the hooks do need a little work. From your drawing, they don't actually look that dangerous. Outlining them and giving them sharper, cleaner edges maybe would have helped.

I also think that this drawing would have looked better with shading on the mask (It is a mask, right?) and hooks, to give everything more of a three dimensional feel. But of course, shading takes practice, and, hey, I can't even really do it so well myself, so I can't really give you any pointers.

Ok so I've already told you I'm not an artist and I know very little of art but I have seen the cover of this book and I think what you've done is very well done! The only thing I'd add (which may be kinda stupid) is that you use more real colors. I am a Star Wars freak also... so I appreciate this.
