Hello there, Prism! By the way, I love your new avatar, though it does remind me of Demeter's.

Okay! Now, let's talk about your lovely little banner here. First of all, I love the idea - it's very cute, and I think it's such a kind thing of you to make a banner to all the users here (and YWS itself). I also love how you chose to have blue as your main colour, being that many people associate the holidays with red and green, I find blue more calming and wintery. It's divine!

However, I do have a few nitpicks (of course). The first thing I noticed about this is that jolly ol' snowman called Frosty (lord knows I've heard the 'Frosty the Snowman' song on the radio a lot already). I was then drawn to his reflection - however, his reflection only shows his feet, but if you're going to have a reflection, I think you might want to include his whole body, though still faded, because, I don't know, it just seems right to do so. Har har.

Also, the font choice bothers me slightly. Perhaps it is just a personal opinion, but I feel the font you chose is a bit too 'rough' for the holidays. Maybe try a more angelic or cursive font, like a calligraphy type deal? I am not exactly sure, I just don't feel the font type works as well as it should here.

I do love this, though. Feel free to message me if you have any comments or questions.

Have a g'day,
Mizzle

Eek! It's Frosty!

Sorry, I don't like Frosty. Have no idea why.

Anyways, this is pretty neat. The colours and textures of the tree, font and background go together nicely. But I have some issues. Shouldn't use the word issues, but it is there for lack of better word.

Firstly, the font you used for the Young Writer's Society doesn't seem to fit well. It just doesn't feel jolly or Christmasy enough. But that's my personal opinion. But it goes alright with the other font.

Secondly, Frosty. No, I'm not being biased. He just doesn't suit the picture. If you find a picture of a snowman that would go well with the tree or background, it might work. But Frosty really stands out, unless that was your intent.

But really love the reflexions of the font and of Frosty. That is a neat touch. And the way the tree was done. Well done!

A very slightly useless review, but I tried XD

Good job!

Thanks Mizzle and MeadowLark for the critiques. I totally understand where you guys are coming from, concerning the font. I had a new load of fonts, and I was just trying different ones out. The snowman was actually the focus point of this piece. Thanks alot for the tips! I'll be sure to take those in mind when I create my revised version.

Is anyone else desperately waiting to see themselves in the quote gen?
