I don't really like posting individual photos all the time, but I really feel as if I need some pretty harsh feedback on this one.
I want to take a few photos more photos with the theme of Christmas, but I'm running out of ideas. Today while I was off school, I tried to get another photo.
I'm not sure how to feel about it, so please, opinions!
Or if you have any other ideas, please share!

*is desperate*

(also, the quality should be a lot better but yeah. it failed -___-)

thanks in advance!

VERY UNUSEFUL REVIEW COMING UP!!

:o

I love it!
It really caught the warmth and decoration of christmas!
It is also a really good quality!
I love the colours, the reds and yellows are very christmassy :D

To be honest, I havent really got anything bad to say :D
Well done :D

/Isha:/= To be honest, we are talking about mostly nothing which in its own essence is something. But somethingness can't be nothing if there isn't nothing in the first place. So really, we're talking about meaningly somethingness that's technically caused by nothingness.

I love this as well. I agree with the above comment about the color and warmth.

The only critique I have, which seems very picky, but since you asked would be the background.
I love the placement of the ornament, but the lights in the background (though I love them) I wish there was more, or that they didnt create such a distinct arc around the ornament. my eye keeps getting stuck in the upper right corner of blackness.

Aside from that this should be on Christmas cards or in the background for some christmas-y website

I adore the bokeh! They provide a perfect frame for the ornament, and really draw the eye over there- also, it's wonderful that they're Christmas-y colored as well. You have wonderful DOF in this shot as well, which is great. Nice tones too.

My only problem: the focus itself. I felt like you could have some excellent lighting to really light up the ornament and get some great macro-focus going on there. It looks like it would provide excellent texture.

Still, it's a great shot- so great job. :)

Hi!
So I think the angle and placement in this is wonderful. However, the ornament is too close in the foreground for it to be so blurry, which made my eyes hurt. Try to sharpen that up. A sharper focus would also bring out more of the texture and color.
The bokeh in the background, however, is wonderful. The warm colors and the arc of the light provide an excellent frame and bring out the red in the ornament.
Overall, the composition is great, Just focus it more. other than that, good job. =]

I thought that it was a little out of focus, and that there wasn't much to look at. Possibly if you had another thing in with the orniment that it would be more interesting. I honestly do love the background though like every other person has said, it captures the 'Christmastime theme'. And I agree with the person above me about the bulb being too close to the front making it blurry.

I agree with the two above me, it's a little to close. I think zooming out a little and cropping the picture so the ornament's taking up most of the picture, leaving a smaller empty space in the upper right would look better. Do you agree? The background looks christmassy, but just having lack with the dots of light might look better. Great colors and idea though!
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The quality of it was good (the main item is focused the background blurred). Maybe take photos of angels or santa hats.

I do not think that this photo needs major feedback or anything!! This is an amazing photo! The angle is absolutely perfect. I love how you focused in on the sparkles so perfectly! Everything is just positioned perfectly.
Another amazing thing is the background. It is really tough to get a background that isn't destracting to the main part of the picture. Not even attempting one with lights in the background! You have done an amazing job and the lighting is perfect.
I love this photo and am looking forward to seeing more.

I really really really like this just the way it is! :) I especially like how it's a close-up on just one section of the ornament, but you can see the lights in the background. I think when photos are that close it leaves a lot to the imagination and is more interesting. I like the colors; I could almost picture a family standing around, decorating a tree, playing Christmas music, etc, etc, etc. :) Great job!

I like this alright. It looks nice, but as was said above, it definitely needs to be a bit sharper. The blurriness in the background looks good to me, but the blurriness at the front toward the bottom of the ornament doesn't look too good. I'm not sure how you would fix that but I would work on it if I were you.

I like the idea though!

Keep snapping! You'll get a perfect one soon enough!

Hey there Snaily! I love your photos, especially this one. I love the Bokeh Effect in the background, sets the mood right with all those colors. The tone and angle is also very great to look at! I love the glitters in the christmas ball too. Keep on snapping! :D
