I know these aren't exceptional photos by a long shot- this is more to share some Czech culture with those who are interested (if there are any of you out there!). Czechs eat carp for Christmas, hence the decoration. They usually get it three days before Christmas, and keep it in their bath. Then, they proceed to bash in its head with a hammer or something, and cook it on up. I've yet to meet a person that enjoys either this process or the taste of carp. And yes, I'm quite happy to go visit family in the states for Christmas this year. :)
Anyways- this was from a Christmas market, as are the other pictures. They were all taken at like twilight, and I barely had any time, hence their... suckiness. Yeah.

And, of course, food. I was unable to get any remotely recognizable shots of trdelnik, so preserves must suffice.

I love the colorfulness! I think it is cool that they eat Carp, and does it really taste that bad? What are with the fairies?
And these pictures are not half bad at all! My favorite photograph is the second one.

Pretty neat!

Wow these are really great! What kind of camera are you sporting?

1. This one is cute! I have no idea what it is but I am uessing it is some sort of kitchen utensil? no matter what it is it is still a neat picture, and I find it funny that you guys associate fish with Christmas. (Excuse my ignorance if there is some story behind it.)
2. This is a really cool angle to take a picture from, I really like it. Again with the cute fishies!
3. Fishies! xD Well this picture is really colorful but through focusing techniques you managed to still achieve a main focal point. I like this one too.
4. This is a pretty one. I love the lighting.
5. This one is also pretty but it is quite straight-forward, there isn't really anything special to catch the eye.
6. The layering, the colors, and the visible textures give this picture a really unique air. I feel like I could reach out and grab one of those jars.

Overall these are really great and I can't even decide which one is my favorite! Keep up the good work.

Pish posh, these are beautiful!
Iam half Czech on my mother's side and have always wanted to visit the C.R. These pictures gave me a little glimpse into that and I thank you. If you have any more pictures from there I'd love to see them as well!
My favorites are 1,3,4,and 6.
