Hi Everyone :P

I'd better do this before its TOO late..anyway Hi guys, Im a new 14 yr old writer. I found this site sorta on accident, i was googling "young writers" and stumbled upon this site, but I 'm really glad that I did This site looks totally awesome, not to mention filled with voracious readers/book and writing nerds such as myself! Ive been writing for ages, last year I won a medal for writing that I'm extremely proud of I'm an American by the way, i was born in San Diego, CA but moved to NZ sum years ago. NZ's pretty awesome tho, and id like to know which of u guys on YWS are New Zealanders too! At the moment im working on a novel thats kind of a fantasy adventure, don't know how that's going to go. Fantasy, Adventure, mystery and sci-fi are my fave book genres. Some of my favourite book serieses include The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Gilda Joyce series, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Harry Potter series and the Maximum Ride series.

Hi hi! I'm Hope Welcome to YWS!!

So New Zealand huh? We have quite a few people on here from NZ. My art teacher is from there and he tells us all about his childhood and gives us funky candy he brings back with him. From what I've heard it's a pretty awesome sounding place!

So what kinds of stuff do you like to write? And you won a metal?? That's awesome!! What was that for?

Anyways! Welcome to YWS! We're all one big happy family for the most part, and we love new members. ^__^

So you're a Kiwi-American, eh? Sweet. I myself am just a plain ol' American-American. :3 And you guys have Hayley Westenra! That in and of itself is awesome. I envy you. Haha.

So! A few things to get you started:

Official YWS rules! Very important stuff. Head on over there to get acquainted with how things work around here (nothing too weird, I promise!). It's just a fast and easy way to get into the flow of things.

The Lounge! Great place to go and talk to people about pretty much anything. It's a relaxed, laid-back forum, so no worries.

And, of course, the hallowed Literary Forums. Head on over here if you're in the mood to read a good story, essay, or poem. We even have an Art and Photography forum to post your art projects! It's a fun place to go. =D

So...yup! That should give you a nice little head start; it might seem a little complex at first, but it gets easier to navigate, trust me. Please let me know if you need help with anything!
