The skies are clear
Moral is high
The sun is hot
No children cry
Cool blue waves
Beat golden shores
White froth is born
Of limbs and oars

Palm trees sway
So clam their air
Vegetation swathed
In fruit to bear
Mangos being collected
Juice running down cheeks
Water parks thrive
Fountains burst their peaks

Grey clouds gather
And many brows furrow
If rain doesn’t hit now
It’ll come tomorrow
Swirling and crashing,
The wind has arrived
Bashing and clashing
This is not a good sign!

Beach towels are flung
Sand stings the face
Rain pelts the water
Clouds smite the place
Thunder crackles
Sounding distant
Lighting cackles
All in an instant

The rain is incessant
The sun wavers vainly
The sky is dark now
The grey echoes plainly
The wind begins to die
Petals fall in the breeze
There’s a halo in the sky
The sun’s rays seen with ease

Shhhhhhh, now.
Slowly.

People emerge from their homes
And see the rainbow

This is very list like. And the water fountain / water park part, it's random an should be taken out, they're not needed. Since they describe nothing and you don't use them to present new ideas.

Durrie,

I think this is beautiful!
I'm loving the imagery that you included in this, and even though it did have a list-ish feel, I think it totally worked.
There is plenty you could work on, like maybe just working on the basic structure of it, but I think as a rough work it's very cool.

Keep it up,

I really love the idea that you put into this! Like everyone else, it is feeling a little list-like. And then the rhyme...I got a bit confused, as it looked like you were trying to put some in at times, and then at others I just don't know. The motto that I usually employ for poetry, is when in doubt, leave it out. Other than that, it was good! Cheers.
