okay, so. i am new to YWS but i have been reading hundreds and hundreds of other peoples works prior to this, i just have never signed up before.i am here because i love to write and read, writing is my passion. i have this weird habit of narrating my life while it is happening. like all of a sudden, out of completely no where i will just start describing something random with great detail. i catch myself doing that a lot. anyway, i want to go to the University of Michigan and get a masters degree in creative writing. i have been writing a novel since July 2009 and yesterday i hit page 100. i am so proud of myself, i want to be edited, written, and published next year. but i don't know how realistic that is when i still have school. even though my age says 18 i am really 13. i am in the 8th grade. and i love when people give me constructive critisism.oh, and i am not nearsighted.

Welcome to YWS. You'll find plenty of people willing to critique your work here, even more to critique, and plenty of company with the novel-writing!
Just some questions to help us get to know you: What do you like to read, what do you like to write, and... what's your favorite movie?
One of the Mods'll chime in soon (they're the guys and gals in green, and the greatest), but if you have questions, there's the Question and Answer forum above this. Also, check out some of the informational threads for newbies. They'll help you find your way here.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
Welcome welcome!

I don't fangirl. I fandragon.
Have you thanked a teacher lately? You should. Their bladder control alone is legend.
I lurked on here for a few weeks before joining up too, but I was really glad after I did because it's a really friendly community and you get loads of useful comments. So yay! What's your novel about?
Hey Rayne, is it alright if I shorten your name? Anyway, my name is Flower, but most people around here call me Flow now a days haha. I am really glad you decided to joing the site! It's a really good place to get get critiques and such, but I am sure you already know that, being around as much as you have and all.
Ok now some good advice and some rules. Here at YWS we like a 2:1 reviewing to posting ratio. I don't think we have much of a problem now that the points are more sparced, but just the same that's how it is. If you don't give review you won't get them. Speaking of reviews if you ever need one I am always around to give them. Just check out my Will review for Food thread. Link -> topic68212.html I love reviewing, and nothing makes me happier than reviewing for newbies
Ok, so then grammer. Even when posting as a reply we try to stay at least a little bit proper. You know capital I's and so on, no text talk. Well an lol every now and then, but besides that, well you get the point.
I'm sure you know where to post so I won't get into that, but if you ever need me feel free to pm me. I am always happy to help.
Now that that's out of the way, what do you like to write. You said you are writing a novel, what genre? Do you like to read? What else do you like to do? Give us details about your life.

My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.
Welcome to YWS! I'm sure you'll have fun around here. I have myopia. (Near-sightedness.) It sucks to wear glasses. I find contacts worse. :/ It's great to hear you work on a novel. Good luck with it!
If you feel confuzzled by anything, feel free to PM me. Cheers, ~Lava

Awesome. And I think I somehow managed to post on the wrong thread to welcome you...hmmm...probably scared some poor peep...
Nice to have you here, anyway! I think I mentioned that, though. And I hope you do get published. I'm up to 96 pgs. on a novel I've set aside forever...okay, so maybe I'm trying to edit it... Lol. Can't wait to see yours.
