Hey Young Writer's Society,

I heard about you guys from a friend that is now much too old for the site apparently.

So, I guess first things first; the name is LeDernierEspoir. Perhaps, if it is too difficult (loving the french language, so jealous as to who is 'fluent' in it) than just call me Michael guys.

I come from an ever growing town in the lowly south, ugh! It would be a little embarassing to tell you 'from where,' so I hope we can just leave it at that. I'm twenty years old and I guess I've lived a decent life so far. I'm about to attend college soon, but for right now I guess I'm stuck with making fast food sub-sandwhiches. :(

Soon, I guess when that 'big day' comes; (you know the one when I make it big as a Novelist) I'll be able to make it out of here. But for now, I guess I'll sit here and revel in the wonders of writing if that's ok.

If you are interested in my interests and such, then I believe I learned correctly on posting such within my profile. For now, it seems like I am ranting! (which I tend to do by accident) :(

I look forward to hearing from you guys!

Holy penguins, dude I think you might be my twin! O.o

First of all, hello! My name is Pink, or Shear, whichever you prefer to call me is fine.
Second, I also live in the south and I'm also attending college next year and I am ALSO working part time at a little place called 'subway'. *dies*
Well, this a bit weird but cool, haha.

So, Le Dernier...
Welcome to YWS! This is a beautiful community to work on writing and learn a few things here and there. I actually took tois ans worth of francais dans le lycee, mais je oublie beaucoup! 8D Cause I'm that awesome. *fail*
But yeah, welcome to the magic world. If you have any questions you're free to PM me, I'll be glad to help you out. You can always contact the mods (users with the green names) if you have any questions too. Have fun and enjoy yourself, we're a friendly bunch of writers so don't be afraid to post on the forums. :)

You're from Texas right!? If you are then I rock. If you aren't then....I still rock! Lol, don't worry, not all YWSers are as conceited as me :)

Welcome to Heave- ahem, YWS! I am semi-fluent in French and also very envious of anyone who can speak it fastly. For me it's more like, Bonjour. *five minutes later* Uhh, j'amapelle....*five minutes later* jasmine. So I don't consider myself very fluent. Anywho, what do you like to write about? Are you doing Nano? Pleeeease tell me your doing Nano! Who's your favorite author? What do you like to do when your not making sandwiches? :) If you ever need a review or ust want to talk, PM me or write on my wall :D

~ jazzzzzzzzzzle dazzle.

P.S. Don't call me that. Lol.

P.S.S It's just jas. Or jasmine. Or sushi faerie queen. Any is okay :)
I am nothing
but a mouthful of 'sorry's, half-hearted
apologies that roll of my tongue, smoothquick, like 'r's
or maybe like pocket candy
that's just a bit too sweet.

~*~

Hi Michael! I'd type your username, but I've been known to butcher anything French.

I'm Rachael, or just Rach, fellow "aspiring novelist" (I hate that term) and I get to welcome you first! Yay!

So, welcome!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I've got questions for you, anyway, so I might as well return the favor. These questions are: what do you write? What do you read? And... (to test your book knowledge) what do I have in my pocket?

Rach

*Edit: I was first when I first started writing this. Sadness.
I don't fangirl. I fandragon.

Wow, I did not expect such a turn out!

To answer a few questions:

Am I from Texas? No I am not lolz.

How long did I take french, if any amount of time? Two years, in high school was about it.

What do I like to write about? Well, it seems as though I fit in a mix of General Fiction/Science Fiction -esque/Fantasy type of thing. Weird I know, lolz.

Are you doing Nano? I don't know what that is I'm afraid!

Who is my favorite author? That's not a hard one at all: It's Stephen R. Donaldson. (an inspiration to me)

What do I do when I am not making sandwhiches? It depends really. If I feel lazy, I will take a nap or play some video games. Usually just procrastination. Sometimes I listen, well actually all the time, a lot of Heavy Metal. Yah, one of those kids I'm afraid. I sometimes feel the need to play with my brother's beagle named Bam Bam. He is so cute. And of course, writing is a passion at the end of the day!

Ok Rach, I guess I can play "guess what's in my pocket!" Lolz...

* Hmmm...using my awesome, amazing and fabulous writing powers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *

You have a notepad, but it isn't just any notepad. It's a light yellow color, and on the front is an innocently looking teddy bear that happens to be animated. The teddy unfortunately isn't smiling, but instead is rolling its face in the dirt next to a dandolion. You see, the bear has lost its 'sense of self' if you will, and wishes to seek guidance from such a danty flower. Upon the flower rests the smallest of things, and what better place to start than there if looking for one's mantality. How wise the plant must be?

Hey, did you know that The Hobbit is coming out soon. It's being done by the director of Hellboy 2 and Blade: Trynity. I'd say his name, but it's really difficult to spell I'm afraid! So, I hope at least if you didn't know that; that perhaps it made your day!

Welcome to YWS, Espoir. I'll call you Espy for short, if you don't mind.I'm from the dead south as well, so I understand the grief of living among the fire ants and tobacco spit.

I've noticed that you've already gotten a pretty warm welcome, but I'd like to nudge you in a direction that's a fantastic way to start your experience on YWS!

So, YWS at its simplest core prides itself in two essential things: writing and reviewing.

Writing
Up on the main toolbar, you'll find an icon labeled Submit. When you click that icon, it'll take you to a menu on which you can post your works! Feel free to post your written works on the site to get critiques, advice, or general reviews from anyone around the site! We ask that you rate your work accurately, just to avoid any mess with inappropriate age content getting delivered to the wrong person. There's a posting limit of two pieces per forty-eight hours, and each post takes 100 points to post.

Points are like a system of money on YWS--but don't be afraid; they cost nothing. To get points, you need to write Reviews on works of other YWSers!

Reviews are what keep YWS running and growing. Whenever a user posts a written work, other users review it, critique it, and comment on it, telling the user what they liked, disliked, and how they can improve. It's just a fantastic way to grow one another in our writing.

Each review gives you 50 points, so if you do your math correctly, it takes two reviews to post one written piece of your own. It may seem daunting at first, but once you get reviews on your own writing, you'll understand the beauty of the system.

The writing forums on YWS are fantastic and diverse, and give you a realm for anything that you can devise. And, if you're a fan of collaborative writing, we have our Storybook forum (which takes forever to explain!). You can find all the information regarding Storybooks Here.

We also have Blog forums and Clubs that you can join, but you can discover those on your own with no problem! Of course, if you have any questions or get lost, feel free to PM me or any of the others around here, and we'll shoot you in the right direction!

See you around!

My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.

And then, as if written by the hand of a bad novelist, an incredible thing happened.
