Hello everyone,
I have decided, considering storywritting is not my strongest talent, to upload my artwork. All this art that you will see below is done in my art class. All of them are class projects. My best work is produced in this class, so I thought I'd better share it with you all. :)

This first image, "Mirror Image" is the front cover of my artbook. All we did here is found an ad, chose a foreground image to outline, traced it, cut out the traced image, traced it onto lots of different cardboard pieces and glued the carboard pieces together on the paper to make two copies of the ad in different colours.

This second artwork, "Selena Gomez as a Pop Art Model", was done in our studies of the famous pop artist, Andy Warhol. I made an acetate plastic image of her photo, then cut out cardboard and stuck in underneath the shadows of the acetate to create this effect. Newspaper was also used in the background as the newspaper was a requirement.

A sketch of Andy Warhol's famous painting "The Drowing Girl". Also part of our Andy Warhol project. Used the grid technique to get a spot-on replica. See below for my painting.

Next in our art class we looked at Jeffery Smart, and his urban linear-style artwork. We were given a task: to create an artwork, using one or the two point perspective techniques and using watercolour, to show to our teacher what urban or the future looks like. Here is my interpretation.

We moved onto "Nightmares and Dreamscapes". Our goal was to create a sketch of our interpretation of the aforementioned project name and then ink print it. I got a little carried away with the sketch, as you can see ;) My ink print was terrible, so I'm not showing that to you, just my sketch.

A detail sketch of one section of the painting "Venus and Mars" by Alessandro Botticelli. The pencil is there because the corner is dodgy and i'm using the pencil to hold it down for the photo. This will soon be turned into a charcoal version, and when it does, I'll post it up.

There! I hope you liked my artwork. Comment what you think, review it if you wish to. :)

First, I just want to say that all of these are really good. My only real critique is on "The Nighttime Fairy." Her face and torso are slightly stubby, like her bodies been squashed down. Her arms are too long and skinny in proportion, skewing the whole look. And her knees are too rounded and unrealistic looking. Just her position - the way she's holding herself - looks uncomfortable and unnatural. Like she needs to relax.

Other than that, these are all really good. I don't know why, but for some reason I really like "Futuristic City."

Hey, you have talent! :D
I very much like these. The perspective, shading and colouring are very good. I agree with Ultraviolet on the Nightmare Fairy, however, and in your Futuristic City, the cars look a little TOO flat. I know it's meant to be 2D, but you still need to add some element of dimension - you know? Also, try not to use a ruler in your artwork. Freehand can be hard, but you will improve if you learn to abandon the ruler and flow your lines freely. :P That sounded strange.
Other than those things, I really like all of these. You are, like I said, obviously very talented, and I wish you the best of luck for a future career in artwork!
God bless,

The Interesting Thoughts of Edward Monkton

For in everything it is no easy task to find the middle ... anyone can get angry—that is easy—or give or spend money; but to do this to the right person, to the right extent, at the right time, with the right motive, and in the right way, that is not for everyone, nor is it easy; wherefore goodness is both rare and laudable and noble.
