Pictures of plants from a retreat I went on. :)

1. A Daisy in the Death
The focus looks a bit off when it's this small. :/

2. An Elegance in Bark

3. Clawed
Again, the detail is lost in the shrinking.

4. Ferdinand the Fly

6. Bisected Leaf

7. Throwing Autumn

This wasn't posed or anything. My friend randomly decided to celebrate the leaves and I had my camera. :)

This is her model expression I accidentally caught later :)

Thanks!

I like how warm and autumny these pics are (and yeah, I know autumny's probably not a word, but it is now...) The colors are really warm and I love the oranges and browns and the essence of fall that you picked up on. The second was my favorite, and I liked the one with your friend tossing leaves in the air, but the problem in general with these is that there isn't that much interest in them. I think you could've given them more of a focal point and emphasized that. Still, these are all pretty good.

Heellloooo! I love autumn in general, and looks like you get a colorful one where you live! All the better!

(This review is probably going to be shorter than most of my reviews - Sorry.)

1) Hehe. Cute, and I like it. I can't say too much else... The petals are too white in my opinion. You might want to think about toning the colors down a bit - and since autumn color isn't the focal point in this shot, consider desaturizing it a bit. Make the "death" in the title stand out a bit more.

2) This is the best of the batch. Nice use of leading lines, BEAUTIFUL color. Makes me think of a picture you'd find in the "Sample Pictures" on your desktop.

3) I like this one, too, but it seems somewhat devoid of much interest to me. I like the leaves, but you haven't shown anything spectacular with the leaves.

4) Hehe... You know how I said that #2 was the best? This one is tied with it. Nice textures, nice focus, nice angle. Well done.

5) And this one takes the cake for second-best, for all of the same reasons as above.

6) HA. Okay, I need to stop rating "Best, second best, etc." with your photos. I forgot this one was in there! I LOVES it! Great use of lighting and angle. This one has what the other leaf picture didn't - There's interest. You've got light filtering in through the leaves, bark, bokeh. Well done.

7 & 8) These are nice, but I'm not good at reviewing people photographs. Best leave that to someone else. Looks like you two were having fun, though. :D

ACH. This is one of the shortest reviews I've ever done - Let me know if you want it more detailed, but I'm in a hurry at the moment. Sorry about the shortness, but you've got some nice, nice photos here! (As usual! ;) )

Hi again!
I really like these pictures - you're very talented. I love the colours, the contrast, the angles; and the focus is very carefully adjusted. Geez, I wish I could do that!
I just have one tiny issue - I thought that in the third one, the contrast between the leaf and the sky was a bit stark. Like, red and gold, and then pure white. I'm not sure - it's probably just me - but possibly it could do with a bit of a more textured sky? (Not your fault, I know, just something that seemed to stick out.)
Other than that, these are again beautiful. I do love number six - the contrast and the angle were wonderful.
Sorry this has been a bit useless.

Hey :)

1. Nice focusing, although I find that leaf in the background a little bit of a distraction.
2. A little too cropped/close. I'd retake and zoom out. Maybe try other angles? Try to get something really creative.
3. This photo really needs zoomed out. It's almost as if its squished to fit the aspect ratio. The white background also made me feel like the leaf was scanned into the computer.
4. I like this! I really like the focusing, however, try a portrait crop/crop so the fly isn't right in the middle, to make it better.
5. Nice focusing, even though I don't really get what it is...
6. Would have been nice to have the whole leaf in, as a landscape shot. Lovely bokeh though!
7. There seems to be a bit of motion blur on the right hand side? Not easily fixed, but if you were retaking, up the shutter speed.
8. I like this one. Would have been nice if the background was blurred, as its all a little bit too in focus for my liking.

You have a lot of potential, and you seem to know a lot about photography!

Sorry if that was harsh!

In hindsight, this review was far too harsh. Please ignore me xD. Youre fantastic.

Halloooo!! Jashy here just dropping by for a swift commenting. =)) You know what? I really wish I could see the humongous shots. XD I don't like resizes. =P 'cause just like you said, it ruins the details. =(( Or maybe next time, just don't resize it too much. XD Just so it will fit the forum post. Anyway, I'm oonnn with the review.

1. is wow. i love it. The flower stands out great. =)) simple, but really, really good.

2. Good, but I just feel that the tree was too cut out. but still good.

3. Good shot! I just hope the other leaf wasn't there, but what the...it'll ruin the pic. I'm confusing aren't I? =P

4. If I didn't read your comments, I wouldn't have known it was a wasp or fly? Gah...insect! But I think this will look awesome if enlarged.

5. Umm...too cropped by the left side. =|

6. An okay shot.

7. It's random, but it's cool. LOL Though if she would pose, I could suggest as in thrown leaves! XD

8. Your friend is pretty. Pretty face plus pretty shot. Good shot...

Wow, I can't believe how short my comments are. Usually I have long ones, 'cause I'm a nitpicker when it comes to art. But I guess you're too good. I simply enjoyed the pics. Thanks for sharing!

KEEP SHOOTING...
