I'm Cal, I'm 19 and I currently inhabit a quiet little city called London. If I had to describe myself in just a few words I'd say: dashingly handsome, devilishly charming and absolutely hilarious. did I mention humble?
But on a more personal and serious note I'm here because I have a passion for words, I love them; their sounds, their form, their potential, their creativity. I love everything about them.
I love the way you can make a sentence dance off the page, waltzing around your mind, springing about like a song. I love the way you can pluck at syllables like strings on a guitar, flowing melodically into each other, each time lifting you around, swirling you into a whirlwind of emotion creating something so beautiful, yet simple. it's ironically something I've yet to find a single word to summarise.
my biggest weakness when it comes to writing is actually getting the words down somewhere; I have a habit of editing and keeping a mental log of all the things I want to get down. which wouldn't be such an issue if my memory was a little better at remembering these things. Hopefully with this place I can begin to keep a physical record and build upon it.

Welcome! You'll feel like you've been here forever in a couple of days. Let's see, there is so much to tell you! First, you can change your title when you get to senior writer or at least, that's when I changed mine. Don't worry it's really easy to get to senior writer. Keep reviewing and you get stars and points, which you can then use to give gifts, pay people to review your work, just donate them to people, hoard them, or post your own work in the forums! Ask questions in the questions thread. And if you need a review, go look at the review for food section or ask people! Yes you like words, but what categories do you write in? What do you like to read? You will find that it'll get hard to write a short post really soon. Sorry about the long post!
