First off, I hate to be your Mr. Raincloud, but 100-200 pts on YWS is *cough* nothing. Sorry XD.
About the drawing though...amazing.
Did you use charcoal? Because the...black stuff around her eyes (I believe it is some sort of female cosmetic chemical-based applicant?) fades so nicely back into her skin. The lips are amazing as well, even when they seem to disappear into the skin (maybe it's because they disappear).
However, I have two points. One is that the photo is so dark. Did you have a scanner? No? Try a bright light next time, or up the contrast with some photo-editing program.
Secondly, why is it so small? ;D It cuts off at the edges, which would be nice for a photo, but I'd love to see the whole work.
Amazingly done! *likes*

P.S. Did you use a reference photo?

EDIT: I've seen the video. XD No charcoal, just pencils, got it. Also, I see why you cropped.

I know, right?! It's all that I could give. I mean, just a humorous attempt to draw in reviewers. LOL speaking 'bout YWS's 500 pts prize for monthly contests *coughs as well*

Why, thank you for the review! I posted another link where you can see the whole "thang". Yes, I did have a reference photo 'cause I did this for a youtube cover video. =)

I don't have a scanner. *tear*

Thanks again!

Since I don't believe Jenthura guessed it, Taylor Swift? Okay, so really, there's no doubt in my mind.

This is really well done. I like the nose, especially, because just like in real life, it's small and not really stand-out-ish, but completes the whole surreal look about her.

My one critique is the eyes. I really like them (they were actually what made me think of Taylor Swift, along with the lips, 'cause those are both really close to hers) but they're a little smudgey. I know how you would want this for the eye makeup, but close to the corners there's almost no charcoal, which looks a little whacked, and her left eye makeup is a lot thicker than her right.

Also, her right eye brow is arched a little too oddly, and there's a line that I believe you're using to help define the nose, but it's too dark, goes too far, and you should be able to just take it out without hindering the work.

The way her lips are parted like that is done really well, because she's like that in so many pictures. Overall, this is really, really good. Just look into those things I pointed out, 'kay? :)

Wow!

This is a beautiful drawing! I think the contrast is fine. If you up the contrast it will take away from the texture, which I like.

I will agree with Jenthura though that it would be much better to have a full view of her. The thing with commercial photographs is that they are meant to make the person look pretty or perfect. When drawing, you should make things look more artistic. Exadurate some features, make some parts darker than they should be and some lighter. When copying a photograph you have the chance to add in emotion and impact that the original model may be lacking.

The drawing itself is brilliant though. Well done :)

PS, is it Taylor Swift by any chance?
We were born to be amazing.

I'm such a geek I knew I wouldn't be able to recognize whoever you drew before I even opened the spoiler. And after Ultraviolet told it, I was still like...who?

Hey Puppets!

Cool, picture. I totally knew it was Taylor Swift 8).
Anyway, I think this drawing is very good. I like the rough edges to your pencil. You still managed to make it smooth and I like the way the shaded her lips and eyes. Nice.
Although, I do think you could have spent some more time with her hair. Right now it's lacking volume, shading and it seems unfinished. The thing about hair it, it can be really hard to draw. Since there are so many strands and so many different layers that go into play. I usually shad a base color and then work in patches when I do hair. It takes me a good amount of time to do that too, ugh. Drawing hair is probably the part I hate the most when it comes to figures.
Overall, you did wonderful. I definitely like it. ^^

Thank you, Miss Pink for the review! =D/

I definitely stop being lazy,eh? Yes, I do hate drawing hair. It feels like such a waste of time. But yeah, I know, it'll make my drawing prettier anyway. LOL

This is wonderful! Definitely a great likeness, and the shading is simply superb. I love the gentleness of your lines, and how it all just kind of blends together. Very soft, very smooth- very well done. Great job at creating the different facial features of your subject- capturing someone can be a great task, but you pulled it off wonderfully.

Nice job!

Hey there Jash, and late welcome to Young Writers Society! I'm Heather. =]

Anyways, wow. I agree with most of the people here. This is a fantastic drawing, and really looks a lot like Taylor Swift. I love the depth you put into her eyes, and overall, I think this is way better than anything I could do, haha. I have to say though, I do agree with Tenyo and Jenthura regarding the artisticness as well as the idea of making some areas darker. I'm not sure if a full-body view would be good or not, considering the main attraction of the image would likely still be the face.

Anyways though, very nice. Keep up the great work, and let me know if you ever need anything. :)
