Stay Strong

You deserve better than him
He lies to your face
He tells you you're ugly, and that's not true
He calls you names
He hurts you intentionally
He makes you cry more than any guy is worth
He dumps you for stupid little things that don't matter
He controls your life
He gets mad at everything you do
He doesn't even trust you
He complains that your friends don't like him
I wonder why...
After all he puts you through
I have to ask, what do you see in him?
You have friends that care about you
We try to show you he isn't worth it
And that you should just try to forget him
But you never listen
I don't think it's because you don't believe us
I think you're just afraid to be alone
But who isn't?
I know if you would just give him a chance some guy will come along
And treat you like you should be treated
But you have to take the risk and give him a chance
But until you do that nothing will change
You'll go back to him
You'll just give in
You'll show him you're weak
You'll apologize even though you did nothing wrong
I'm tired of watching him treat you badly
When I know you deserve so much more than him
I hate seeing him hurt you
But I don't know how to help you
I just want you to be with someone who makes you happy and makes you feel amazing
You deserve that and nothing less
So please don't settle for this
I don't know what else I can say
But just know I say this because I care and I want what's best for you
I guess you'll just have to let go on your own
And I'm proud you finally took a stand
I know it's hard right now
But I'm glad you're trying to let go
It's for the best
So stay strong
You're my best friend, I love you :)

Hello there :)
So, first impression... it looks very long. I know you'Ve got a lot to say but it discouraged me a bit.
But, as I read on, I really liked it :) I liked the first part where you repeat the 'he', what he's doing. It got me into a rhythm. Now, when you switched, I thought, hey, wait a minute! Maybe you want to break out the parts? But I get why you kept it as a whole so you don't really have to. Just be concsious that you are breaking up the rhythm that we've established in the first part.

This is really good! I liked the theme and all.

Keep writing!

You did a great job of conveying this topic. I liked it a lot. You're a good writer. I can feel the pain that you feel for your friend. I can tell that you are a good friend to her. Keep writing.

It was a very long poem, but i like your style, it is simple and easy to read and understand. I also like the issue you are writing about in this poem. It's kind of sad but inspiring. It's great!
The worst feeling you'll ever feel,
is sitting next to the person who means the world to you,
knowing that you mean nothing to them--Unknown

Ok so, first off, this seemed like a varitiy of other poems that I have read... Most of the lines said things I've heard many many times before. The lines are very common. Also, the some lines are relly short, others really long, this can be disoreantating to the reader. You used "but" a lot, and used it close together, which doesn't sound good. I see that this is a poem that was written for a reason, and that you had strong emotions about the subject. It is the subject that is the down fall. It is so commom that it is almost imposable to write a poem that is origanal. It also seems like you wrote a lot of sentence's, like you were writing a letter. I think that you could make this better by omitting some of the longer lines, or just shortening them, and also if you changed the wording a pit so it is not like the rest of the poems that are all like this. Add metaphors and similies, use personification and other things... Don't just tell use how you feel, show use, make us see what it is that you are talking about, not just tell us, I know you can do it!

Hope this helps,
