I ran as fast as I could. To leave this lonesome world behind.
As sweat dripped from my face, I stopped running and looked up to the sky.
So dark and empty, as well as my body and soul. Cruel thoughts crossed my mind..’’ You can do better than this ‘’ what have I done to get this far? I was about to leave behind everything I’ve ever gained. The blood in my veins was to stop running as loneliness would fill them up with hate.
Fear may overcome you,
And darkness shall once hail.
But your shadow fights with you,
As light from above will never fail.
I stumbled and reviewed the mistakes I’ve made. To take them back and bury them. To let them lie along with the dead where they belong. They were the ones to blame, they forced me into doing what I once thought was right.
The past is a memory,
That’s meant to be forgotten.
Your mistakes lie in it,
yet they shall not be lost.
As they are the ones,
who’ll redeem your strength.
Softly gasping in the air, I turned around and looked away. “I hated this”.
Suddenly a heart stroke pulled me back together and lifted my soul, to the place where Sherlock met Holmes. ‘’I was home’’
I fell to my knees and begged for forgiveness. My tears were bitter and burned my face. For they cleaned it and washed away my sins.
Stand up, face it,
Leave it behind and start over new.
We are crooked beings in this crooked world.
Thus we shall not give up.
Even tough the crookedness we carry,
Somewhere in us there lies,
Tough whom is always grateful to be received
‘’The love in our Hearts‘’
