TVTropes Will Ruin Your Life

My little troper self flailed in joy when I saw TVTropes as one of the staff picks. Yes, I am easily excited, how'd you guess.

Finally, said I, finally shall I be able to say stuff like "YMMV" or "CMOA" or "Character X is such a Deadpan Snarker/Well Done Son Guy/Starscream/etc without people looking at me funny.

So, any fellow tropers around here? (Don't lie, I know you're there. Come and flail and gush with me, so I'm not the only one making an idiot out of myself :P) Any new converts? C'mon, it's fun. Except for how it'll eat up all of your time (but who needs time, right). And cause tab explosions the likes of which have never been seen before, but that's okay, it'll make you like it. And change you foreveeeeer. Or something.

Ahem. Sorry about that. Gushing over.

What are your favorite tropes? Favorite categories? What's the most tabs you've ever had open due to it? Do you have a rough estimate of how much of your life it has eaten?

(If anyone's curious, it'd be the Woobie trope and subtropes / the Betrayal Tropes / OVER NINE THOUSAAA- ~200 / maybe three weeks? for me)

Okay so I've got six tabs. LOOK MA, LESS THAN TEN

Six tabs, only. Shame on you, mortal. I could easily hit 15, down to three and back up to 18 in half a minute - if my internet was that fast!

Okay, well I've been on the site before. It basically destroyed the innocence of my childhood - the articles in Getting *I uh... forgot what the word was* Past the Radar.

Willpower and a time limit before class is the only thing keeping those links unclicked (although Deadpan Snarker has been opened recently. So my computer tells me that link has been clicked).
