It was a beautiful day,the birds were singing and the sun was rising higher in the pink rosy sky, I covered my head with my blue blanket, trying to stop the bright sunlight from entering my sleepy head. As the sun creaped up it was getting more and more difficult to bloke the light from entering the soft fabric of the blanket, I mumbled and got up towards the windows. I went to the right side of the room and took the ugly pink curtains my mother had given me as a gift years ago and threw them towards each other to cut the light off of the room. I went back to my bed and tussled the covers over my head, after all it was only 5:00 am, and god help me! I was so tired from yesterdays exams at school! I layed in my bed for some time, watching the sunlight brighten the room a bit more by the second and gritted my teeth at my not being able to go back to sleep. Wriggling in my bed to find a comfortable position I stared angrily at the ceiling.

"That is it, I'm going downstairs!!!" I thought with an agonizing pain creaping in my head.

Pushing the blankets off of my tired body I sliped silently towards the quiet stairs. Each step I took with caution, so to not wake up my parents. I could just imagine them bursting in anger about the hour I had woken them. I made my way to the kitchen and snatched some bread from the uper counter. The sun was now lingering fully in the sky as I smudged some jam on my well deserved toasts. Eyes rolling with pleasure I gobbled the toast up slowly and moved with haste towards the TV in the next room. I moved around the grey couch and sat on a big poof in front of the TV floor. My stare searched the room for the remote controle and found nothing. With a frown I started searching my poof, slipping lean fingers under it. Suddenly feeling some piece of hard plastic against my fingers I grabbed it and placed it onto my lap as I replaced the poof. Poofs were ennoying when you were trying to find things under them, they were so squishy and round that you had a hard time with turning them over. I opened the TV and watched the news with no interest, from the dept of my ears I could hear stories of murders and crashes and it wasn't pleasant enough to keep me hooked. Honestly I was waiting for the weather man to show up to tell the weather when the news caster started talking about a school. Paying closer attention I realised he was talking about mine! I took the remote and turned the volume up.

" A relatively peacefull school in the forest of ontario has been victime of vandalism early in the morning, as it is not the first time for such an act to happen on the property of Transani school the principal has decided to let this minor incident slip-" The news caster continued the story showing bits and pieces of cracked windows, clash of glasses on the ground and walls painted with indecent meanings.

My mind started to slowly wake from its slumber under the meaning of this story.Did this mean that our school was being targeted by delinquents? I turned my blank stare towards the stairs were I found both my parents holding each other and looking at me with loving care. They were still in their pijamas when they came in the living room to hug me. I closed my green eyes and hugged them back.

" Honey,"my mother said with conserned eyes"it's time to go to school now, be careful."she added caressing my left cheek with her long delicate hands.

I looked into her equaly green eyes and nodded with assurance.

" Don't worry." I said in a clean low voice.

Minutes later, my mom was standing beside the door my school bag in hand and fear dwelling in her big green eyes.

" You're sure that you're all right honey? I can drive you there if you want." she said, starting to fret over my pale figure.

" No. It's ok mom, the school bus is safe." I said with a confident look on my prideful face.

My mother clutched her two hands togehter and bit her lower lip nerveously.

" Alright." she whispered turning to my father with fear imprinted in her lovely face.

My father smiled and placed a protective hand over her shoulder. They turned to me and followed my every move with worried stares until my small form disapeared around the corner of the road.I walked joyfully to the bus cabin close by and sat down on the bench. The breeze was fresh and made me think of spring, when all was half frozen and stirring. The roads were mostly empty leaving me looking at emptiness where ever my eyes looked. The emptiness never bothered me, it was like a friend to me when I had been alone years before... alone against the world and its cruel inhabitants. When everybody had threated me like nothingness and had trown me in the garbage like trash, emptiness had been there.I looked around and thought of the people that had to clean this place and with empathy I looked towards a pile of junk in the corner. I thought of the possibility that that pile of garbage could be me and my throat sored. My hands were turning red under the shimmering cold, my cheeks were becoming pink and my nose runny. My eyes were empty crystal balls as I looked at the emptiness around.
" If someone could come to need me someday... it would be nice" I thought rubbing my aching red hands. I stared at my hands wondering how someone could possibly need me one day. I flinched, hearing the familiar creaking sound of the bus arriving. It was as thought the bus had heared my plea for help and had came before tears could dwell up from the core of my soul. The bus stopped in front of my freezing body and the doors opened, inviting me to climb in for comfort.

I walked up the four stairs of the entrance and made my way to the back of the noisy bus. People were speaking at the top of their lungs, others were laughing so hard they fell in the passage blocking the way to the back and one of them stood there staring at me like a brick wall in my way. He had silky silver hair standing in front of me, arms crossed and staring down at me with fire in his red eyes. I backed away and my head unconsciously sliped down to face the floor.

" Can you... please get out of the way?" I said with a squeaky voice looking downwards.

The guy lat out an ennoyed sound and lifted my head up so that my black hair flowed onto my back.

" Why dont you look people in the face when you talk?" He asked in a calm voice while his eyes portrayed ennoyance.

My breath came short while I looked in his beautiful red eyes. I placed my hands on his gripping fingers and pushed them away from my chin.

" It's an habit" I said holding my breath and praying it would be a good enough reason for this curious boy.

He looked at me with suspicions in his brilliant eyes and nodded slowly, passing around me to sit in a seat close to the front rows. The air in my lungs came back in regular deep breaths and, trembling slightly, I went to sit at my usual seat in the back row. Beside my seat, hints of giggles and laughter made their way to my ears. I turned my green eyes towards the provenance of them and sighed at the sight of Melissa. She was a gorgeous girl with blong wavy hair that came down to her mid back. She had beautiful blue eyes and lips that had the tendency to form a sensual pout when irritated. Just the mear sight of her was enough to make the heart of men and women pound painfuly in their love crazed chests. She was just stunning.I looked at her closely and frowned.

" Maybe gorgeous, but not very kind" I told myself, forcing my eyes off her so that she wouldn't notice that she had collected one more stare from the pack around her.

I looked forward and saw the red eyed guy look in my direction, my eyes widened and I quickly turned my head to my right.
"Wrong direction" I realised as I saw Melissa stop speaking to her groupies and turn my way. Eyes wide I stared at her and she glared at me with her beautiful narrowed eyes. Seconds went on and an uneasiness came over me. Her stare was of such an intensity it made me want to curl up in a corner with fear and cry my eyes out. I tried to detach my stare, but couldn't, I was trapped in her intense glare. Suddenly out of no where a girl with black hair and green eyes came close to Melissa and taped her shoulder for her attention. Melissa jerked and unpleased by the disterbance looked at the girl with mean blue eyes.

" Hi" The girl said with a cute genuine smile.

Melissa, unhappy, glared at her and her lips formed a malicious grin.

“Did you and your boy friend have some fun last night?” she asked innocently as her friend's eyes started to question her on the motives behind the question.

“ Yes, we went to an amusement park.” She said happily trying not to flinch at the bored face Melissa made at her answer.

“ Oh-” she turned away, un-interested, and started talking to kathryn her best friend.

Appaled I turned my head to avoided looking at the girls unhappy face. Wanting nothing but peace and quiet for the rest of the morning I tried to ignore that gripping feeling of empathy I had forming in my guts. I had been treated like this once...I looked at the trees passing out the window and wondered what kind of animals the bus passed each seconds. Were they wondering the same thing? Wondering if I was watching them as well? I chuckled as that thought came into my head. Of course they wouldn’t think of me, after all I would probably be cruel in their mind. Engrossed in my thoughts I hadn't felt the slight difference in the pressure of the seat. After looking at the gorgeous scenery I sat strait and sighed, my mind at peace.

“ Hi.”” said a girl’s voice beside me.

My heart stopped as I turned my head in a rush and saw that the girl from earlier was beside me. Her sweet heart face was in front of me and she stared at me with curious puppy eyes. She was staring intently at me, waiting for my response. I cleared my throat from the discomfort I had felt at the sight of her and decided to talk.

“ Hello.” I said calmly, to avoid my uneasy feelings from showing. She smiled with open generosity, I watched her sweet face and moved aside from her close proximity.

“ My name is Lisa” she said leaning in closer.

Passing my hand in my black hair I became nervous.

"Ah- I noticed you, you're Melissa's friend... you're cute just like her " I said, trying to stay calm and composed, but the uneasy feelings kept spreading in my body like ants eating away at their prey.

Her glittering green eyes widened as she played with a stray of her black hair. She twirled the stray of hair around her index and giggled.

“ Really? That’s nice, I didn’t think anybody would notice me because of Melissa's pretty face” She said with a glitter of malice in her eyes.

Suddenly she jerked away seeming to remember something as I saw Melissa looking our way. She turned around to see Melissa looking. She panicked, turned her cool green eyes on me and snubbed my surprised face . Shocked at her display of coolness I turned to look outside the widow once again. She had been so sweet… Maybe she was scared of Melissa, but it didn't mean she had to be cold. Feeling a cold breeze of resentment inside my heart I watched the school appear closer in the window. I obviously felt down and I wanted out of the bus as soon as possible. Unexpectedly a warm breath of air brushed my ear, I shivered.

“ At the second bell come with me outside it’s important.” Lisa said and got up to follow a suspecting Melissa.

I stood up and looked at the shy girl I thought she had been and my jaw dropped. SHE wanted ME to skip class with HER!? I couldn't possibly, my parents would kill me!!! Kathryn saw me standing close to my seat with a stunned expression and made a disgusted face. “ You shouldn’t anger us girl.” She hissed, turning towards the exit leaving me once again stunned and hanging.

" What did she mean? Does that mean that I’m not supposed to listen to Lisa?I sat down beside these people since the first day I transferred here around three months ago and now they're suddenly noticing me!?”

The worst of it was that this attention wasn‘t compelling. I felt a sickening sensation spread and started towards the exit of the bus as the bell rang. I stared at the entrance of the school wondering if I should go or not. I Hesitated and remembered Kathryn’s words. What did she mean? I stayed there, confused as the second bell threatened to ring. I sighed finaly deciding to be curious for once and went to a lunch table in front of the school. I sat there waiting thirty minutes for Lisa to come. I was thinking about my possible mistake minutes later, when I saw Lisa rush out of the main door. She came towards me breathless and panting from the run.

“ Come!” she said pulling me by my arm towards the thick woods.

I didn’t know what the rush was all about, but I followed her frantic rythym anyways. She pulled me onto a path in the forest and crushed me against a big oak tree close by. I lost my breath as I was being crushed and tried my best to resist the gigantic force she was using on me. How could such a cute girl like her use that much force against someone? I was trying to break free from her solid grip when she threw me on the ground. She sat on my stomach and grunted as I pounded my fists in her arms. The delinquents of this morning's news flash suddenly came up in my mind and I pounded harder on the squirming Lisa.

“ Stop it! I need to talk to you!” she cried between streams of tears. “ You’re hurting me!” she whispered in a hiss.

I looked at her crookedly and stopped my pounding fists from reaching her stomach. She wiped her tears and looked at me ennoyingly.

“ Why did you do that!?” She asked angrily.

Dumbfounded I stared at her with narrowed eyes.

“ You CRUSHED me against a TREE!!!” I said defensively, trying once again to break free from her claw like grip. Her eyes widened and she chuckled.

“ I was just testing to see if u transformed for nothing, you didn’t have to hurt me like that.” She said with honest eyes.

My lips trembled slightly, but she didn’t seem to realise that the uneasy feeling that had been there for a while had started to take controle of my actions.

“ What do you mean?“ I said with butterflies in my stomach.

Her eyes stopped glittering and became a sort of dark green.

“ What do you mean, ”What do I mean?” ” She asked with suspicion in her emerald eyes.

“ You know what I mean, it’s been a while since you came to this school and no one has seen your transformed self yet.” She said with impatience running fluidly in her dark eyes.

I opened my spooked eyes wider.

“ What!? Transform!?” I said panicked.

“ Yes that’s right… The teachers gave you a lot of opportunities to show it, but you never did, so how can they do correct exams on you? Huh?” she said with an angry expression." Don’t even try to pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about! Don’t you know why your grades are failing?” She asked shaking my shoulders.

I shook my head and a shiver ran through my spine as the air began to thickened. She tossed her head back and her body began to change into that of an animal. Her ears moved to the top of her head and became those of a dog, she trembled with all her might and a tail popped out of her lower back. Then her whole body glowed as fangs and claws appeared as thought summoned by magic. She began to glow brighter with gold shimmering sparks when her body became that of a husky… Or was it that of a wolf’s? Whatever it was it was now lying on top of me and looked quite mean. The wolf’s eyes were green and its fur was black mixed with red. Lisa’s transformed form searched the fear in my face.

“ Now you see what I mean?” The wolf lat out.

I crawled back, feeling threatened as the wolf stood up on its four legs.

“ What are you!? And is everyone here like THIS!?” I screamed out of shear terror.

Lisa sat back and studied me.

“ You really don’t know what I’m talking about do you?” She asked nervously.

To terrified to speak anymore, I shook my head making my black hair follow the fluid movement.

“ This academy is a school set in the forest for a ancient type of humans, their names are the Hutrans, which is a combination of the word human and transformation. The non Hutrans gave us this name… Anyway if you are not one of us you better not come here anymore, it’s to dangerous for a mere human.” She said walking back and forth between me and another oak tree to our left.

A rush of emotions whirled suddenly in my mind making my fears vanish, leaving place for a storm of anger in my middle.

“ Why did you think I was one of you in the first place, huh!?"

Lisa stopped and looked at the human girl more closely. She glared at me with her beautiful green eyes and came closer sniffing the air.

“ Because, you smell like one of us for some reason.” She said sniffing my shoes with interest.

I felt a shower of madness wash over me at her lame excuse. "She had pushed me down because of my smell!? My smell!?" I thought gattering my anger.I kicked her nose and backed away in a harsh manner.

“ Don’t touch me you dog!” I said roughly.

Lisa jumped back and growled.

“ Be careful of what you do, human! It could cost you!” The wolf said bearing its teeth.

My face went pale and the butterflies in my stomach came back.

“ Sorry…" I said a bit frighten by the wolf's big teeths.

I leaned closer to Lisa and my eyes turned bright with mixed curiousity and fears .

"I want to know what will happen to me if I’m discovered.” I whispered with slight difficulties.

The wolf’s ears fell down on its head and she whimpered.

” They will kill you.” She said between two heavy breaths.

I sat up and approached the black wolf.

“ Are you sure?” Lisa approached too and lat herself be petted.

“ Yes.. I’m very sorry.” She said slowly licking my face.

I sighed.

“ Why didn’t the teachers tell me themselves?” I asked worried and nervous.

“ Well.. I’m not sure maybe because they were busy, but it’s a good thing right?”

I nodded and cuddled the wolf closely.

Its fur was heavy and soft like nothing I had ever touched before. It smelled of the woods and other familiar smells that lingered in the wilderness. I droped my head on the soft clothe of fur and hugged Lisa with a thighter grip. Even if I already knew I just had to ask her about that form of hers.

“ So… Lisa, are you a wolf or a dog?”

Lisa let out a growl at that insulting question.

“ Don’t mess with me girl, I’m a wolf.” She said mumbling while I laughed with amusement.

“ Oh… Sorry about that then.” I passed my hands through the silky fur and felt Lisa push towards the hands inviting them to caress more.

“ It’s alright.” She said when a bright light enveloped her to bring her back to human form.

In a strange way, if I looked closely at her she did look like a wolf. A beautiful, prideful and sweet wolf. I laughed and tussled her black hair. She looked at me and smiled with assurance.

“ You’re a nice human.” Lisa decided as I stopped playing with her hair.

I smiled back, but remembering something the smile faded. “ Are you scared of Melissa?” I asked curiously. Lisa’s eyes grew wide and her gaze shifted towards the ground. “ Melissa is… The strongest amongst us, I’m not sure in what she can transform, but the teachers told us to be careful around her.” She said nervously twisting around her finger a pang of her black jet hair.

“ Oh-” I said “ Then can you tell me why Kathryn told me to not anger them?… Their group I mean.” Lisa’s gaze lifted and crossed mine with deep panic.

” Maybe they sensed you weren’t a Hutrans.” She supposed wearily.

My confident gaze caught hers and her eyes brightened a little.

“ I don’t think so.. So what are we going to do now?” I asked curiously as I thought of the situation as being weird in many un-normal ways. Lisa smiled mysteriously at me, stood up and started running for the inside of the school.

“ I have to go back to class for an exam!” she she said loudly“ You however stay here, it would be to dangerous if you went now ok!!?” She asked screaming loudly from the front door. I laughed joyfully and cupped my mouth. ”Ok!!!" I answered back, smiling.

* * *
“I wonder what Lisa’s doing its been forty minutes!! Her test must have been finished a long time ago!" I thought, pestering at the entrance. While pacing, I started to wonder at the transformation thing in this school.

“ What am I going to do if what she says is true about my future death?” I bit my lips. I lingered in front of the front door for some time before I heard the door creak. I turned my head to see if it was Lisa and found Melissa stepping outside followed by a bunch of groupies including Lisa. I stopped pacing around to stare at Lisa who was keeping her head low with a desperate expression imprinted on her prideful face. Anger dwelled up inside me. “ How can she let herself be treated like that? She's a wolf for god's sake!!!” I thought in outrage.

Melissa walked to a lunch table and sat down. She pushed her silky blond hair behind her ears and started laughing at a joke Kathryn had said. Her other followers; Jesse and Julia laughed at the joke to keep up. Lisa bent forward to take the can of juice she had just placed on the table. Melissa stared at her with a sneer.

“ If you drink you’ll probably un-shy, right?” She said with a mean look on her face. Lisa trembled slightly and her black wolf ears popped out of her black hair. Her eyes turned to a darker shade and a tail slipped out of her jeans.

She blushed, ashamed, frightened and angry at the same time. Lifting her emerald eyes to meet Melissa’s she held her chin high. Melissa laughed and sat back.

“ If you can’t handle jokes how will you ever be able to handle liquor girl!” She said smiling with bright malice.

Lisa looked down as her cheeks boiled red.

“I.. The cane was for you.” She said in a whisper that lat some of her selfcontrole slip.

Melissa smirked and grabed Lisa’s chin close to her face.

“ Well thank you dear, but I didn’t feel like drinking.” She said with a evil smile that looked out of place on beautiful face.

Lisa’s eyes burned with hurt pride and shame as she stared at her shoes. “ Oh-” That was all she heard herself whisper before turning around, pressing on with the drink in her hand.

My mouth dropped, I rushed towards Lisa. I had the feeling that one part of my heart would jump out of my chest to strangle Melissa and the other would go after Lisa and comfort her until she felt better. I ran towards Melissa’s table, she turned her head and a grin spread all throughout her face when she stood up.

“ Well, well…” She said as I stopped in front of her slim figure.

My breath was fast and my anger quickened it, making breathing hard and painful. Melissa passed mocking eyes over me and laughed.

“ You seem… Angry for some reason? Why would that be?” She asked Kathryn with a glitter of mockery.

Kathryn laughed, shook her head and shrugged. Melissa then turned towards me with curious eyes.

“ Why would that be?” She asked again, narrowing her blue eyes.

My vision turned red as I wanted only one thing, grab her little delicate neck and snap it. I controled my urges and stepped towards her.

“ I’m not angry.” I said with a tiny voice that was one inch close to exploding. Melissa smiled and looked at me with arrogance.

“ Of course not.” she said, crossing her arms on her full breasts “ Why would you be?”

I stared at her for a moment and thought of numerous ways to slap her in front of her groupies, then remembering my conversation with Lisa I relaxed my trembling hands.

“ I have to go, I have an exam to pass.” I said calmly. Melissa, stunned, stared at me with wide suspicious eyes.

“ Is that so? Alright then I’ll let you go… for now.” She stated retreating from the conversation.

I turned around and entered the school, I could feel the stares of Melissa’s groupies in my back, but I didn’t want to bother about the holes they were drilling , I had to find Lisa. I watched the main hall and started wondering where she could have gone.

“ Where would I go if I was a wolf?” I asked myself over and over again as I searched the entire school.

Hutrans were looking at me strangely when I walked passed them in the small halls. I bet they thought I was looking crazy running like that in the halls. Another class bell rang and I still hadn’t found her. My breathing became quicker, I had been running for twenty minutes without a sign of her. It was making me feel anxious. I went outside and took some air in.
“ How could she just disappear?” I thought desperate, then it occurred to me as I was watching a tree. “ The forest!!” I thought, my eyes widening. I ran to a path close to the school and tried to remember where Lisa had taken me the first time she had spoken to me. I turned my head to the right and to the left. Losing to my memory, I began screaming her name. After a while, my throat was painfuly throbbing and it began to hurt when I shouted. Tears were waiting to fill my eyes at the thought of screaming again.

“ Lisa!!!” I yelled one last time feeling tears of frustration being released down my cheeks.

I stumbled to my knees and wiped the tears off my face. Time passed quickly, my throat was hurting so badly I was afraid to move. I turned my head to my right as I heard a rustle in the bushes. I scrambled back thinking it was Melissa and started trembling all over my tired body. I cought a glimpse behind the bushes and saw something black. A glimmer of hope crossed my fatigued body. A black wolf came and stood there in all its beauty, it was staring at me with sad eyes. I stood and ran to it. I held on to her so tightly the wolf began to struggle for air.

“ Girl you’re strangling me” She said in a murmur.

I wiped my eyes on her fur and backed away.

“ I’m sorry.. I… I’m sorry… I didn’t help you!” I whimpered through a low shivering voice.

Lisa looked at me and licked my tears.

“ It’s alright girl, around that woman I feel like a weakling… I’m not myself close to that devil… Thats why I come here after, to recollect my shattered pride” Lisa said cuddling closer to me. " Sometimes I need some time alone" she said with a sigh.

She placed her head on my shoulders and lat herself be comforted. The air was charged with anger and sadness as I clung to the wolf and petted her softly. Finally Lisa turned to me, transformed with a low shivering light and faced me with curious eyes.

“ Hey girl… It occurred to me that I never asked for your name.” She said with mixed emotions in her green shimmering eyes.

I stared at her for an instant my mind wondering about many things before I had realised she had spoken.

“ Girl.” She whispered in a impatient breath.

I shook my head and my eyes blinked.

“ I’m sorry, what?” I asked in a dreamy voice that the throbbing made rough.

“ Your name?” Lisa talked slowly so I could get the meaning across in my tired brain.

I passed my hands in my black hair and stared absently.

“ Ah-” I said, while my head registered the question“ it’s Nekuro, my mom had a thing for Japanese words… it’s a mix of black and cat.” I said with a sour face, while Lisa was laughing, her hands on her stomach.

“ I’m sorry girl! Its just that-” Her laughing intensified as she lat her phrase hang."-it's kinda ironic!"

“ I’m sorry!” She repeated with amused eyes when she saw me walking away.

My name had always bean my dawn fall, every body thought I was cursed because of its meaning! Damn name! That's also a part of the reason why people had avoided me. I walked faster towards the school ignoring the pleas of Lisa that told me to slow down. I opened the main door furiously and felt a warm hand over my shoulder. I turned in a fast movement and glared meaningfully at the girl that had dared touch me. Lisa’s face was serious as she looked at me with loyal green eyes.

“ I’m sorry.” She said firmly.

I watched her prideful eyes as mine narrowed.I pushed her hand aside and sighed.

“ You know I could have hung you for that.” Lisa’s eyes wandered at my face as she became relieved at my forgiveness.

I took her hands and pulled her inside.

“ Let’s go, we have classes to attend to now that all this drama is done for.” I pulled her throughout the school, between small and big halls.

She followed silently and made no sound when I stopped to open my locker. I took my English books, closed the door and locked my precious locker. Hutrans were staring at the two of us probably wondering what Lisa was doing with the likes of me. I was going to walk towards my class pulling Lisa with me when she stopped, grabbing my arm.

“ You know-” Lisa spoke with a deadly serious face.I turned curious eyes towards her. “ -Nekuro, this drama will never end as long as you’re here.” She said, her green eyes shading.

We both stood in silence for a while.

“ Well, at least I have a friend?” I said, hesitating.

Lisa lifted her glittering eyes to me and smiled.

“ Yes, at least you have one.” She answered quickly to my hidden question.

I smiled and patted her head.

“ Let’s go to your locker.” Lisa nodded with a small warm smile and guided me gently to her locker. She took her large history books and closed her locker.
“ Nekuro?” She said with a big smile on her face.

“ Mm hmm?” Lisa brushed my hands and started to walk backwards to her class.

“ I like you a lot…for a human.” She said turning and disappearing at the corner of the next intersection.

I stood still a warm feeling seeping inside my heart.

“My first friend here.” I thought with pride.“ She’s a nice wolf.” I said aloud, feeling a sense of belonging flowing deep into my being.

I made myself a friend... I walked away cheerfully towards my English class a smile spread from one ear to another. Wondering of future possibilities and future new friends I laughed and rushed pass Hutrans that were in a hurry to attend class. The emptiness in my chest was slowly filling up with a little love. I smiled, my head in the clouds and Without knowing what had happened I stumbled backwards and my books spread all around me, my bottom felt sore and my head spun a little as I looked upward to the person I had bump into....

Hey there Bibi, I'm Hawk and I'm here to review.

First off, this is insanely large. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose first thoughts upon seeing this were along the lines of "Good gravy, that's a chunk of text!" There should be a new paragraph every time you bring up a new concept, and every time someone speaks. Also, try to keep your posts fairly short--about 1,000 words or so. You're going to get much more feedback and it's just going to make everyone happier all the way around: you get your work reviewed, the reviewer doesn't get overwhelmed by the huge blocks of type.

Now, for the story itself. You do a lot of telling in this story, and not a lot of showing. I know it's difficult to distinguish between the two, so I'm going to let someone else explain it much more coherently than I can and direct you to this link.

In the first paragraph, the pacing is very slow. You give us a little window into our MC's life--and to be honest, it's quite boring. When you write a first chapter, you want it to hook the reader. You want them to be so intrigued that they can't put the book down and they just keep turning the pages. So far, it's starting out like any old school-type story and I haven't got any interest in the MC or what's going to happen to her. Which brings up another point: characters.

You want your characters to be "realistic", in the sense that we, as human readers, can relate to them in some way. We might not be exactly like your characters, but if there's something that makes us feel like they're human, too, and just trying to get through their life the best they know how, then we're going to be more sympathetic. Plots can only take you so far; in the end, it's the characters that you end up growing close with, laughing with, mourning with, etc., and they are the ones you, as the writer, want to invest your time in writing and developing.

Another issue I noticed was your dialogue punctuation; looks like you could use a little brush-up, so check out this wonderful link. I use it all the time.

Well, I hope this helps. This story has got potential; it just needs a lot of clean-up. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions!
