The waitress was done with the cheerful act. She made her way behind the bar and ran her finger across the amber filled bottles under the bar until she came across her poison, Tequila. She took the bottle out from the bar, bringing along a couple shot glasses and poured herself three shots, downing them all in a row. She looked to the three customers infront of her, "Need something?" She said with little emotion.
The only constant in our lives is Change.
Revelations 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eye. There will be no more mourning or death or pain. There will be no more crying for the old way of things has gone away.
"Give me the strongest drink you have," Seres said. He dug through his pockets looking for money. He found a couple of solid silicon coins. He really hoped the Collective's currency worked here.
Katherine took off her hat, uncaring of the stares she got and set it on the counter while her large grey ears angled to the sound of the waitresse's voice. "Yes, give me four shots of vodka and eight shots of whiskey, one ice cub in each." she responded, hiking up her skirt as she sat more comfortably on the chair.
To fly away on gossamer wings, sheer as night's reflective glow, I would could I cradle child hecate to my breast.
Donia from Heavens Mutant Children I walked into the pub ignoring the stares and whispers I got when I walked in my wings fully visible. I sat next 3 people I didn't care who they were at the moment. "Mountain dew and a monster." I said calmly. The waitress nodded curtly and walked off. I turned to the girl next to me taking note that she had grey ears that reminded me of a wolves. "Hello I'm Donia Oak." I said calmly offering my hand deciding may as well make some conversation.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Seres turned to look at the girl, who walked in. She had large wings.Birds wings He turned back to the bar and absently laid out the coins in a flame- like pattern. He looked at them, frowned and started to rearrange the coins.
My wings fluttered slightly and I sighed. "So did you have a bad day?" I asked the girl next to me. She glared at me. "If being almost killed counts then yes." She said. I chuckled slightly. "Well try having your foster parents try to kill you." I said extending my wrists so she could see my scars. "Why?" She asked. I sighed. "They found out I was half faery half shapeshifter so they thought I was a monster and had to be exterminated." I said calmly staring at my light blue and white wings that reminded me of a butterflies wings. The waitress came back with my monster and mountain dew. I paid her and then smiled at her. "Arigatou." I said bowing my head. She smirked and walked away. I popped open the mountain dew and took a slug. "Your not going to sleep after that." A man on the other side of the wolf eared girl commented. I smirked and raised my can in a mock toast to him. "Wasn't planning on it." I said cheekily taking another sip.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Seres snorted at her comment. He winced feeling a sharp twinge shoot through his soul. " You're still whole though," he said, staring at the bottles on the shelves, " your wounds will heal."
"Sounds like plenty of fun." I told the girl with the fae's wings to my left, "I was nearly killed after being sold to do slave work." I responded, "They needed a pet" I spat the word, "and I was the only shapeshifter available - meaning I'd been caught." I decided to reveal what most of the blather had been about and removed my tail from under the silken skirt. It was grey, just like the ears. I wrinkled my nose at the smell of the monster, "How can you drink that stuff?" I ask her, "I'd much rather a bottle of vodka to that trash."
To fly away on gossamer wings, sheer as night's reflective glow, I would could I cradle child hecate to my breast.
My slight smile faded. "I don't want to sleep if I do the nightmares come back." I said flatly. I took another sip and shook my head. "Self pity never does anything eh?" I asked them forcing a smile. I turned to the man before he could answer. "My heart is not whole it's stitched together and crooked because I had to fix it myself. If my heart is not whole neither is my mind.'' I stated calmly.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."
Seres looked at the two women sitting next to him. " Your planets don't have laws against that?" The bartender came back with a glass of bubbling oak-colored liquid. She hesitated before setting it down in front of him. " This is a hundred percent alcohol," she warned. He picked up the drink and drowned it in a gulp. " It's fine," he told her, still sober. " It won't affect me." He held the glass out, " Can I have another?" She gave him a look, but took the glass anyway and disappeared into the back. He turned back to the woman. " Your soul is though. It wasn't ripped and scattered across Elaragnia."
"Don't worry." I smiled wickedly, "I'm not entirely sane either. I have a strange sense of real and non-real." I grabbed the shots of vodka and , one by one, downed them in a gulp. I still wasn't even feeling a buzz, I hated being abnormal sometimes. "You know, can you do any .. fae magic?" I asked her, before turning to the man next to her. "Do you have any .. special powers or whatnot?" I asked him,

I nodded. "Yeah I can control the wind and darkness." I said calmly. I finished off my mountain dew and stared at it. Once the waitress came back I asked her "Can I have another monster?" "Your not going to sleep." She replied setting the oak colored liquid in front of the man. "I know." I replied. She rolled her eyes and nodded disappearing in the back. I started on the monster humming under my breath tapping my finger against the side.
