Do you have a pen name?

If so, what is it? Don't you like your own name, or is it just a matter of privacy? If you don't have one, are you planning to come up with one? Is it better to hide behind a pseudonym or be known by your own name, no matter how ordinary it might be?

For my drawings, I now like to sign as B.S., replacing my first name with Belle.

I don't know why I did this, I just didn't want it to be Samantha. It's too plain. Plus it's fun signing my work as 'BS'.

Well, I have the longest unpronouncable surname ever. So, I thought I'd use my first and middle name, Tamara Afreen.

I've thought about a pen name before, but mostly because my real name doesn't sound very authorly.

I just use a single name. Gabriel. Haven't been able to come up with a surname yet.

I have a couple, but I haven't picked an official one. My username here is my very first one from when I was 13 and doing LotR fanfic. I use Mayhem O'Malley sometimes, but if I end up choosing something more professional I'll probably use combinations of my middle name and names from my family. My real last name is a little Polish and hard to pronounce!

My sister's initials are B.S. We keep telling her that she should marry an Olsen (there are a ton where we live.) 'Cause, how awesome would it be if her initials were B.O.? xD

My pen name is actually an old nickname of mine given to me by my parents when my mom didn't want two people in the house with the same name. My real name is actually my dad's name.... So, yes I am a Junior. Well, the name my mom gave me just stuck. So now I have that nickname, Joe, for a penname and a stage name with my real last name while my real first name is reserved for legal documents, school, acquantences, ect.

We actually have a joke going on that my confusing story about my name is on purpose to confuse identity thieves. I like to think I cause fist-shaking amounts of anger in them.

As a joke, I use Nep Eman. Just because it's fun *shrug*

My pen name is BenFranks. No-one knows my real name, Ben Franks.

I've gone by Rachael Elg for so long that I joke about her being my alternate personality. Or I guess, more precisely, she's my writing personality.

It's a long story of how the name came to be, but I started using it because I thought I was Awzum and AmAzInG and that I was going to get published at 13, make it Rowling-huge, and need a pseudonym to maintain my privacy. Not joking.

But anyway, six years later, here I am with it... and I'll probably end up using a variation for when I do publish (optimism! Must think optimistically!), because I'm just that attached to it now. Rach and I... we're like sisters. Only, closer.

As a child when dreamed of becoming a famous writer (I still do, but won't admit it) I came up with Rebeca E. Lee. By the way the E. stands for E. and that is all. I have gotten over that phase. XD I have never actually have had anything published sadly, but if I do I am planing on using a pen name for privacy. I don't want people looking me up on facebook or anywhere else on the internet. My pen name will probably be Arahnia Siddel because it has the initials of my real name and is way cooler looking than my real name in cursive.
