Hey! Newbie here :D

Hey, I'm Larissa and I'm new on this site.

I'm aspiring to be a novelist so I thought this would be a great site to get some ideas and post some of my work.
I'm also into fanfiction so you can also find me under Kira Carmen on FanFiction.net and Larissa Gates on Lunaescence.com (once its website comes back up).

So please review my work and let me know if there's anything I can do to improve my writing.

Hey Larissa, welcome to YWS!

You've come to the right place. Everyone here is super nice and friendly. There are tons of resources YWS has to help improve writing other than just getting reviews. The Writers Corner and Writing Tips provide great support and lots of members write articles on improving aspects of writing.
Don't forget to review other people's work too because that'll also help you get better!

Hi and welcome to the site! Like Carlito said you have come to the right place. YWS is a great place to improve any writing. I have found that in reading other peoples writing and trying to help them you can see the mistakes in your own writing better.

YWS is a huge place and takes a while to get used to and explore. When I first joined I didn't even realize there was a Welcome Matt. So explore, every day try to go to a new place. Everyone on YWS is very helpful too. If you have any questions just ask. A good place to get to know the other users is the chat room. You can also P.M. (private message) anyone and from my experience they are always very happy to talk and answer questions.

Don't be afraid to review! When I first got on here I was really scared I wouldn't be able to help. Even if you found just one problem or nitpick tell us. All help is appreciated. Never be intimidated by those huge reviews you see.

At the very top left hand corner of your page there is My Feed. My feed is really awesome to know what other writers are up to. Under every persons name there is "Follow bla bla bla" If you click that when you go to your feed you will see what that person has been doing around the site. I didn't know this in the beginning and it would have really helped so I just thought I would go into detail.

P.S. You should get an avatar as soon as possible sometimes with so many YWS users it is hard to keep track of everyone and a picture helps us remember who you are. If you keep it for a long enough time it will become your trade mark.
