I stand on tomorrow’s brink.
Caught between two chapters of life,
I see the void before my feet—
Life’s persistent current, never-ending.
Only the years of alphabet and algebra
Behind me to guide my path.
But high school is over, for better or worse
Our caps were thrown, diplomas collected,
Old friends are leaving to follow dreams
We’re being forced into the world,
Whether ready or not.
Caught between two chapters of life,

Only the years of alphabet and algebra
Behind me to guide my path.

We’re being forced into the world,
