Recently I was on www.wow.com (I do play World of Warcraft but this post isn't about it, at least not entirely), looking up my class's weekley post, when I came accross a string of posts called "All the World's a Stage" in the Lore section. I'm a huge fan of WoW lore so I clicked on it and found a whole string of posts dedicated to Role Playing. While I dont role play (athoug I would love to) I found the posts really usefull when it came to character creation so I recommend this to anyone who is struggling to create a deep character (note please ignore all posts that have the world Caclysm in the title, unless you want to get REALLY CONFUSED).
All right this is mostly geared towards fantasy but some posts can apply to anyone fictional

Moved to Writing Tips. Writing Activities is more for word games and such. Writing Tips is for where you have advice or a technique you think might help other writers. And Writers Corner is where you can talk all about your project(s).

As for Role Playing helping with character creation, could you explain how you found it helpful and link to some examples? Right now, this post is basically all Role Playing is great for making characters (which I agree), but there's no how Role Playing helps make good characters, or examples of how to make good characters through Role Playing.
Secretly a Kyllorac, sometimes a Murtle.
