My best friend
She's been my best friend since the end
She says she knows she's in love
Says that she knows you're sent from above
Should I believe her or is it true love?
CHORUS
So tell me, are you like what she says you are
Would you hold her in your arms
Forever...
Do you really want to be with her
Together...
Or are you a fake!?
Should I save her for her sake?
Should I tear you apart before you break her lovesick heart??
So tell me, what you really are...

She says you're easy to turn on
That you're always gone
And that you tell her you love her
With every text you send

Well, I'm about to bend
You're perfect, straight facade
Cuz I know who you really are
But I hope to God
That you changed, and that you're not gonna lie
Cuz I'm not on your side!
CHORUS
You could be a lie
Hope you know she'd die
She's that overdramatic, that automatic
Especially if she thinks
She's in love
So tell me who you really are
She thinks you drive a Mustang for a car
She says you're a star
But I know better
So tell me, cuz I don't believe her
I might as well believe you...
You better tell the truth...

Meet you face to face
You pick the place
You lie, I'll see it in your face
So tell me, who you really are
Would you hold her in your arms forever. . .

Aw, Yay! This was so adorable! I was actually humming a made up melody as I was reading and that to me just means you did an excellent job! Love, love, love this. :D

If I can impact one person, just one, with my writing before I die, then I've lived a great life

"Your", and "façade".

Second:

Saying, "lyrics *copyrighted* could be one of the biggest turn-offs when browsing through the forums ever. Never ever say something that shows the potential reader that you think your work is so fantastic that you're frightened someone is going to steal it.

Do you honestly believe someone is going to come along to YWS, trawl through the millions of poems and lyrics posted here, and then choose your work to "steal" and sell commercially to Miley Cyrus? Please don't rise yourself higher than everyone else on YWS and remind them that your work is your work. We know that.

Third:

You should give your topic an actual title beyond "Lyrics". If you can think up the lines of a song, I'm sure you can come up with a title. Even if it's uncreative like Blur's "Song 2" which is awesome fun to play on Expert on Rock Band 2.

Finally:

Your song wasn't bad. I could see how it could be catchy. You should set out your stanzas better, as I had trouble following the flow of the lyrics and trying to figure out the breaks. You should also make it more clear what the chorus is. For people who don't read lyrics, placing the word CHORUS at random intervals means nothing.

Keep on writing.

I have an approximate knowledge of many things.

Don't sit down and write because you're a writer; sit down and write because you have something to say. And if the sea of ideas isn't flowing, well, just tell me about your day.
