Ch. 1
Wind blew my long black hair into my face blinding me from my surroundings. I ran my fingers through my hair and moved it away from my eyes enabling me to see. I looked around and took in the unfamiliar surroundings. To my left there was a narrow dirt road. On the other side of the road was a stream. The stream was so clear that if it were not for the sun’s rays being refracted by the water it would be impossible to tell that the stream carried water. On the other side of the road there was a barrier of trees. Beyond this line of trees was a meadow of the earth’s hair: grasses, weeds, and flowering plants.
My mind was filled with uncertainties that lingered in my brain. These thoughts keep spinning and made me feel sick like I was on an amusements park ride that went around in circles. I didn’t know how I came to be on the side of the road or why I was here. I had no personal memories. I knew how to speak (I knew this because it was thinking in the English language), and I remembered how to do things like tie my shoe. Basically, I had retained my knowledge of everything except for things concerning my past. I had knowledge but how I obtained it was a mystery to me.
How will I eat? Where will I go? All I could do was walk down the road. As I walked down the road a thought struck me. My hand plunged into my pocket to search for a phone. Maybe I could call someone I used to know to pick me up. My hopes dissipated as I realized I was not carrying a phone. However, I did find another object in my pocket: an envelope. I tore it open wondering if the contents of the envelope could help me comprehend what had happened to me. Inside the envelope was a handwritten letter. It read:
Dear me,
If you have found this in your pocket then you are me. You (me) are probably wondering what the hell is going on. If I know myself, right now your (my) mind is racing with unpleasant nagging thoughts. Ignorant questions like: where will I go? How will I eat? Well tell your (my) mind to shut the hell up. I haven’t left you in that bad of a predicament. In fact I have arranged someone to meet you (me) and help you get started. Just keep fallowing the road and somewhere along it someone will be there to help you. If you (me) are not walking by now you should be stop thinking and walk bitch! Just do what I tell you. You will find more letters instructing you (me) from me (you). Do what they say! I know what is best for you (me) and that is to follow my instructions and listen to the guide that is waiting for you somewhere on this road.
Sincerely, You

I looked over the letter carefully and considered it contents. Was this letter really written by me ? It didn’t really matter because whether it was genuine or not. I was desperate for help and following this person’s instructions was the only way to get it. If I tried going to the police they would never believe that my memories were erased. Claiming that they were would only be stupid and would probably get me thrown in the nut house.
If this letter was written by me why would I allow such a thing to happen to myself? I crumpled the letter up and threw it as far as I could. Rage flowed through me. I could have left myself with more information but instead I left myself with nothing. There was no possible explanation for my self destructive behavior.
I walked down the road with my head down looking at the light brown dirt that made up the road. I was not in control of my situation at all. So many uncertainties took its toll on my mind. For a second I considered just stopping and laying there in the middle of the road to wait for a car to run me over. That would have been a cowardly thing to do and don’t plan to end my life as a cowardly heap on the road.
It was a horrible feeling knowing nothing about myself. Everything was taken away from me, and that hurt even if I didn’t remember what it was I had. I knew that I couldn’t go back to my old life somehow, and this made me feel lost and empty. I had friends and family. I had talents, likes, dislikes and now I would have to discover them again. I had nothing.
I continued walking for a couple hours but there was still no one in sight. Not a single car passed me giving me the feeling of isolation. The sun was starting to fall down the sky; it resembled a person slowly falling to the ground with a parachute. However, this person was still falling too fast and might crash into the ground like darkness was about to crash into me. Just as darkness was about to fully descend upon me I could make out the outline of a person in the distance. The person’s figure turned to face me then disappeared into the night.
“Finally I was starting to think you didn’t find the letter and ran off somewhere,” said a girl’s voice from behind me. I spun around in surprise to find a girl standing behind me. The first of many interesting features that I noticed this girl possessed were her eyes. They were dark purple. The next thing I noticed that was peculiar about her was her hair which was also purple and long (halfway down her back). She looked to be roughly around my age but her age was difficult to estimate. She was wearing a black dress that fit tightly to her body. Her skin was extremely light but not unhealthy looking.
“So you’re the guide that was mentioned in the letter?” I asked the girl timidly
“Yes I am the guide that the former you mentioned in the letter. Please follow me” Said the girl as she started running down the road. I ran after her and shouted,
“Wait! Can’t you answer some of my questions first? Where are we going!?”
“This is neither the time nor the place for questions. You can ask anything you want once we reach our destination; though, I am not guaranteeing that I will answer all of your questions. This place gets…dangerous at night so it’s best if you just shut up and run do we can get to safety in a timely manner” Replied the girl.
“Dangerous, what? Why is this place dangerous at night?!” I asked fearfully.
“Just shut up and run!” Said the girl in a firm tone. We ran along the side of the road for about ten minutes, and just as I was about to collapse from exhaustion the girl turned away from the road. I ran after her past the barrier of trees and into the meadow. A colossal structure then came into view. The best way to describe the building is to say that it was a cross between a castle and a house.
“We’re here” Announced the girl.
“And where would here be?” I asked
“My house” Responded the girl. It took a moment to comprehend the fact that this girl lived there. I mean this building was huge. It was as big as a skyscraper except it looked like a house built to resemble like a castle. The structure was built of stone and had large cylindrical shaped towers that looked like they were taken from a monstrous castle. The main structure was built from stone in a style that looked like a castle but had a roof and a door built like a house.
“What are you staring at hurry up and come inside!” The girl opened the door and I followed her into the building. The inside was as unique as the outside. We entered a room that was larger than a whole average house. The floor was made of one huge piece of polished marble that had a luster that almost made it appear that the floor was giving off it’s own light. In the center of the room were two statues the size of large trees. One was an angel and the other depicted a demon. The two supernatural beings were looked in combat. Several large doors led out of the room. The doors were on all four of the room’s stone walls. Parallel to the wall with the door we came through there was a steep staircase the height of an average house. The staircase led up to a door that was located almost all the way up the wall. The staircase had dark wood railings and was made from the same stone as the floors.
“What are you looking at you looking at” Asked the girl in an agitated tone.
“Your house it’s amazing! Do you really live here? Who had the money to pay for all of this?”
“it’s not that amazing…Take off your shoes and follow me.” I did as she told me and followed her. We went through a door on the wall room my left. We entered a room that appeared to be a living room. In contrast to the last room we were in this room was more normal in size and appearance. On the wall to my left was a large T.V and a cabinet with glass doors that contained a stereo and large speakers. Up against the wall to my right was a black leather couch. The room had a white carpet floor. The walls were made of strips of dark wood (possibly oak).
“Sit down we have much to discuss.” Said the girl as she sat down on the couch. I sat next to her. I started to open my mouth to start asking questions but she interrupted me by handing me an envelope. On it was the words “letter two”; they were handwritten. I tore open the envelope and unfolded a piece of paper. It was another letter from the past me. The letter read:
Dear, Me
If you are reading this you have made it safely to the guide’s house. You probably want a ton of questions answered; however, I plan on revealing information to you gradually and some information I plan to keep hidden from you permanently. You may ask the guide anything you want but she is instructed not to provide you with certain information. However, before you bombard her with a butt load of questions read the rest of the letter because I will provide you with some answers. The guide’s name is Kaira we used to know each other before my memories were taken. She is to take care of you until you advance to a stage where you do not require someone to care for you. She will provide you with everything you need. Here is some information that I will not reveal to you at this point of time: my previous name (I suggest you come up with a new one), why you can’t remember anything, how Kaira and I were connected, my previous occupation, Kaira’s current occupation, were I previously lived, and much, much more that I am too lazy to list but I have instructed Kaira not to tell you.
Sincerely, You

I read it over twice and then crumpled it up and threw it at the wall. Why did I do this to myself?
“I hate the previous me! Why would I do this?! Why couldn’t I just tell the future me what the hell is going on?!”
“I Don’t exactly agree with what you did but I am following his instruction’s anyway because I want to respect his wishes and allow him to control his own future.” Kaira turned towards me and looked me in the eyes. “There must be something I can answer that isn’t restricted though. Ask something”
“There are questions that he didn’t restrict you from answering that I want to ask; however, they’re about you and my currently situation rather than the answers I really wanted concerning who I was and why this happened to me.”
“Then I will be glad to answer them,” Said Kaira warmly.
“Who paid for this house it’s colossal!” I asked.
“I paid for part of it and you paid for part of it,” Replied Kaira.”
“How did we get the money to pay for it?”
“I’m sorry I want to answer that question but that would involve supplying you with information about your previous occupation and my current occupation which is forbidden,” answered Kaira.
“For now I am I just supposed to stay here doing nothing, live in your house, and eat your food?” I asked.
“Well there are a few things that you have planned for yourself but basically yes.
“Do you live here alone?” I asked
“Yes this house belongs to me, not my parents or anyone else, and the only person living here, as of late, has been me,” Answered Kaira.
“Sorry if this seems a bit rude, but why don’t you live with your family or your friends?” I asked trying to sound polite despite the blunt nature of the question.
“Well I used to live here with a…” Kaira blushed and looked away, “friend”, she finished.
My mind was considering many possibilities; however, I silenced my thoughts for I wanted to save my pondering for when I was alone and there were no distractions.
“Hey are you hungry?” Asked Kaira.
“Yes very! I felt like I haven’t eaten in weeks.”
“Then let’s go eat some stuff!” Said Kaira with a smile.

Wind blew my long black hair into my face, blinding me before I could take infrom my surroundings. I fanned my fingers through my hair and moved it away from my face, revealing my eyes (Okay, from this second sentence, the narration is odd. It's like third person, but first person, and omniscient all at the same time. It's really confusing and doesn't give me that feeling like I'm in the story). I looked around and took in the unfamiliar surroundings. To my left there was a narrow dirt road. On the other side of the road was a stream of water so clear that if it were not for the sun’s rays being refracted by the water it would be impossible to tell that the stream carried water(Add some punctuation in here or break it up. This is a loong sentence with no breaks) . On the other side of the road (the side I was on) there waywas a barrier of trees. Beyond this line of trees was a meadow of the earth’s hair,: grasses, weeds, and flowering plants.

I'm not going to finish because I want you to read over your chapter and edit it to your very best. There's a lot of punctuation missing in it or it's misplaced. A lot of your sentences are block-ish, not varying in length and to me, it seems like there is no feeling or emotion put in your chapter. It has potential, but it just needs to be worked on before we see the true work. I'm not going to do all the editing for you, so it's best if you get the obvious things before you post (punctuation, spelling, capitals etc.). When you're done with the look-over, PM me and I'll gladly review it for you!

Great story! As for the writing, it reminds me of something that you'll look at four years from now, and marvel at how much your style has changed and improved for the better. You're not a bad writer, and your vocabulary seems decent, but you don't seem to have a good handle on word choice, meaning, which words you use and where you place them. That bugged me a little, because I can already tell that you have so much potential. I wasn't in love with the way you started off, it didn't seem realistic. Everything else will improve with time and editing. Everyone on here seems to write about the obvious; vampires, wolves, angles, bratty teens, this is different, and different I like.
