Howdy!!

Hey people!!
I just joined Young Writer's Society today and someone told me I should introduce myself here. I'm really bad at describing myself to strangers, but I'll give it a shot anyway.
My name is Dana and I'm 14 years old. I live in New York. I've been writing since I was four years old. The only country I've been to besides the United States is Canada. I'd like to go to Europe sometime but I'm not sure when that will happen. I have somewhat of an obsession with Harry Potter. Me + Draco Malfoy = <3
I can curse in 8 different languages. (English, Yiddish, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, and Hungarian.)
Right now I'm teaching myself Latin, but someday I'd like to be fluent in all the languages mentioned above. (Although I'm already fluent in English and almost fluent in Spanish.)
I love to read and write. I also like to draw, although I'm not terrific at it. I don't have any pets, but sometimes I watch my friend's dog when she goes on vacation. The dog was rescued from Hurricane Katrina and is terrified of water.
Anyway, I think that's about all...

So your from the US? Many members of YWS are from there. If you like Harry Potter there is a sort of fan-group that you could join which is about the series. Click here to check it out.

Ooooh, you can curse in German. I'm currently learning German and I am going to start learning Latin next year. I also know some of the basics of French and Finnish.

Anyhoo, I think that you're sure to make some fantastic friends of this lovely website. I have learnt that my writing has improved heaps because of YWS so that's just plain awesome. If you have any questions or worries you can Private Message (PM) me and I will answer it! Or, alternatively, you could PM a moderator. So, now lets find out more about you. What genre of story do you like to read/write? Do you prefer writing poems or fiction or non-fiction?

I like reading and writing fiction, especially romance, fantasy, and mystery. I like realistic fiction too. I used to write poetry all the time because I love to rhyme, but one day I just stopped. I think our poetry unit in 6th grade English took the fun out of it for me, which is too bad because I do love poetry. I just have no inspiration any more...
