Hello! I drew these sketches for the art contest at the local fair, but I still haven't chosen which one I want to enter. Let me know what you think! Sorry for the bad quality of the photo! (:
1) This is my favorite. I think you should enter this one in the contest. Though maybe you should add more petals and leaves. On the other hand, I love the effect, the shadow has on the stem.
2)This one is my second favorite. I think it's a little plain. Also, I think could use a little more work on the trees' roots.
3) This one was good, but it was my least favorite. I think you should show more of the vase. By the way, the flower's stem goes right through the vase's shadow. It just doesn't look right. If you take a look at it, you'll see what at I mean.
Overall:I liked all of them, and I know how hard it is to draw, so I hope you don't think I was too harsh. I really do like them. Good luck with the contest~bluewaterlily.

Hi Kr1117! I love the detail in the second photo, and how all of the branches intertwine so well. In the first and third photos, you show excellent shading! Maybe you could spice them up a bit by using colored pencils. You might even want to use a kneaded eraser; they are excellent for shading and smudging. Nice work!
I liked number one best. It is beautiful. Your did a great job with the petals. I think it would look absolutly amazing in color. The stem was also great. The part where the stem and flower connect looks sort of fake though, you should blend it a little.
I liked number two second best. I think the others are right, it is sort of boring. But i don't know, maybe because it is just that i love trees, but i think it could have more.
I don't like the third one. It was bland. Everyone draws things like that. if you do draw that, you need to spice it up more, at the very least add color.
Overall, i liked it.
When all you have is nothing, there is alot to go around.
