Hi, Everyone!

Hey there! I am new to YWS and I am trying to get my baring for now. I have done two reviews and submitted one short work but I am just exploring for now. I'm still haven'te quite learned my way around so feel free to drop any advice on me if you like! Any is welcome!

Let me just tell you now; if you aren't addicted you should probably quit because when you do, you're a hooked; trust me! Today, I was looking over a test paper and realised so many grammatical mistakes I ended up spending the whole time fixing up the grammar. Another time, Mum banned me from going on the computer and I ended up stealing her phone climbing into my attic and looking at YWS nonetheless.

Yes, I do have an unhealthy addiction and yes, I am probably going to die!

....But that doesn't matter. I know a YWSaholic when I see/read/hear one and buddy you have what it takes! So, don't hate me for this but.... JOIN US, JOIN US, JOIN US, JOIN US! I mean, you already have but because obsessed; you know party with me and my peeps! By partying I mean post like crazy until you have no key board left!

YWS is a fantastic place, but it can be a tad confusing for a new member. If you're confused, or just want to learn a bit more about the site, you should definitely check out the FAQ for new users and/or Answers To Questions Everyone Has. Both are guides with a ton of information about navigating YWS.

If you have any specific questions or anything, feel free to send me a Private Message (PM). I don't really know what advice to give you.. the layout of YWS is pretty basic, and will gradually unfold in an easy-to-learn way.
A great place to find people's work is through the featured pieces on the homepage, the newest works below that, and to the right, the newest posts. If you like a person's writing, you can visit their profile, and click "Portfolio" to see anything else they may have done. This is a great way to meet other writers and share work.
Just so you know now (I didn't at first), YWS is not a portfolio site.. this means that you can only post two works every two days. YWS is more of a community in some ways than a writing site. If you want a portfolio site to go along with YWS, I would highly recommend writerscafe.org... it's where I post the majority of my work, and has no cap. However, YWS is a closer knit community of peers, and allows more reviews of artwork and whatnot.
