These are all pretty good!

1 I love how you did the hair!

2 One of my favorites! You did a great job with the chains! But you need to work on how smooth the curves are on the handcuffs. I love the keys too, they look so small and perfect!

3 I love how you did the rocks! I would just shade some of them in so they don't all look the same. Or just shade the stuff that's holding the rocks together(I can't remember what it's called..).

4 you did a good job on the dress, but the hair needs to be shaded in a bit.

5 I like this one too! I'm not sure if you should shade the hair in a bit or not. I think you should just leave it how it is!

6 I like how you did her legs!

7 I don't like how her hair is so bushy, but I love how you did the ruffles on her dress!

8 her dress is pretty!

You are very good with dress! You did good with figure, but the hands look stiff and straight, I have trouble with them too. I love them all!

Well I think these have potential to be better with more time and detailing, but they're not that bad. My one main suggestion would be to work on making the people look more natural. The thing that's just throwing me off a bit is really the shapes and proportions of the people, which basically comes with practice, practice, practice. A good idea is to print off photos of people (or even better, get a living model) and try to work on the realism based on that. It's hard, but it does a LOT for whatever you're drawing.

Ok so I think these pictures have lots of potencial and with more time and details I think you could grow your abilites and really flourish in the world of anime.
I think one issue, though, is that the form of the people isnt really porporcianed.

I would recommend signing up for some basic art classes at your communitie center or once school starts up again try taking art. Basic art classes are great for just learning how to porportian things well and where to place things in a picture to add dimesion.


With a little work and some guidence you could really do well.

Hi, I'm Flower and I will be your reviewer for the evening. I havn't read any of the reviews from above, so sorry in advance if I repeat anything they say.

First pic:

On the girl to the right I noticed that the shoulders are to broad. They stick almost straight out, and girls shoulders don't do that. I suggest making some curves to them.
Also her hair on the back of her head is stiff. I doesn't fall like most hairs just, it looks like some hairspray is holding it up. Her hand also seem to be a bit stiff, they don't seem natural or real.
I liked the dress though, it is well drawn. I would suggest coming in more at the bust line of the dress though. It would make her have more curves.

Other girl in picture 1. I love her! The only thing I noticed on her was her hands are not very good. I think you have great ability to draw them better.

Picture 2.

I love this picture. I think you need to shade the hand cuffs though. It would look better that way. I simple adore the chains and the keys though.

Picture 3.

I like this one to. I think that you worked harder on the scenery though. That being said I love the scenery! On the girl the only suggestion I have is like on the other. Pull the dress in more at the rib area. Make it smaller to make it look real. I don't know what to say about the mouth thing, it may just be your style I guess.

Picture 4.

The shoulders are to broad, and the face has a weird shape. I like how you tried a different design on this one though.

Needs shading, but otherwise it's perfect.

Picture 6.

I would suggest working on drawing the human body more, in a realitic form. I think it would help you in drawing the legs and such.

I am going to skip the last two, because the comments would be the same as above. I hope I didn't seem mean in my review, I havn't slept much so I am cranky haha.

Hi Adeera! I know this was posted a really long time ago, so sorry if you don't end up seeing this.

I really liked these. It's nice to see cartoons that aren't exactly manga or anime, for once. I mean, manga and anime are great and all, but they can get tiresome after a while. However, I might like to see these colored in. Color would give a whole new life to these already brilliant drawings.

The second one is by far my favorite, but it took me a moment to figure out what it was. The only problem is that the handcuff on the lower side of the drawing seems way bigger than the one on top. It could just be an optical illusion, though.

Overall, great work! Keep drawing!

These look rather stiff and overall un-human. Probably because you need to study a little human anatomy. Once you get some basic principles about bones and muscles down, you can draw the arms and limbs at almost any angle.
Look at #3, see how both her arms are stiff out in front of her? You'll need to work on that.
Another anatomical problem would be the hands. Try drawing only hands for a little bit, practicing and feeling out the shapes of it in many different poses. Practice always helps!
You also need some more shading, or else they all look flat. The best thing for you would be to practice on reference photos, and then, after copying the real thing, you could get a feel for your own creations.

These are cute! My favorites are #5 and the last one.

Not bad, In general your pieces where alright, not bad but not great. I would suggest looking at human body looking at yourself, looking at pictures of others while you draw, you pictures where stiff, and looked to much like cartoons. The actual drawing was also a little flat, to much lines. To make something look realistic you must add shading and shadow, this can be easily achieved with pencil.

1. I quite like the idea your playing with, it's one I often like to explore myself. Generally it was okay. The hair was a bit bland.

2.This is my favorite. I love the idea. In general like all the others It was flat. The world is not mad of flat lines but millions of textures.

3. This is alright. Like the rest it's flat and looks a little unfinished.

3. Not to proportion, Although i do like the dress she is wearing especially the bottom bit, it makes her look a bit to straight, no curves but maybe you wanted that effect.

4. Her curves a lot nicer here. I love the may she is positioned but it's still flat.

5. Her legs are out of proportion. Her dress is pretty though. The face also looks strange.

6. I like the idea of this. But her hair looks inorganic try putting more detail to your work.

7. Actually this one is my favorite. The hair is better but still is inorganic. The bottom of her dress is good.

This wouldn't be a good review unless i gave you some tips. These are just some things i have found help me and might help you.
1. Use your own body, or the body's of those around you as templates. Look at your own lips, Stare at your own lips. How are they formed. The shadows, the textures. Really look at them and try drawing them. For me lips are made out of three basic lines The middle longest line ( the part where your mouth is ) is NOT STRAIGHT but curved to form the bottom of your top lip. The Bottom lip to me ( depends on who I'm drawing ) seems to fade to the side so you don't really need to connect them . The top part is quite simple. Some times when I'm lazy ( when i'm doing cartoons) i don't even bother drawing the top part two lines with some shadow under suffices.

2. Hair is organic treat each hair, each strand as an individual. Hair is not just a lump of lines.
3. Practice drawing bodies, practice drawing eyes and lips.

Sorry I have been a little long winded, i apologize if I've come off as harsh.

My tools of the trade was pencil and paper for the longest time. In my world, pencil and paper are the greatest things ever.

I liked them. They're really good, but I think you need to work on the detail. I can understand if you did these in class, and for that it's really good. But I think if you did these in your free time, you should sit down for a little longer and work on the facial features, distinctive marks or anything on the people, because they all look the same to me. Otherwise, good job!
