Hello all from the society,
I am a freelance writer and a student of Post-graduate studies. I have been writing for youth and children and have contributed a number of letters on the political issues to the reader's section of local papers. I am fond of writing prose, short stories, and desire to be a columnist. I am much interested in having exchange of views with other writers.

Welcome to YWS! I'm sure you'll love it here. We have a news section, full of columns by users aspiring to be columnists. As Lava said, you can probably find a great friend in BenFranks, especially, as he also desires to be a columnist.

If you ever need someone to critique your work, or just someone to chat with, feel free to private message (PM) me. I'll always answer.

Just a few basic YWS facts:

Junior moderators are the ones whose names are light green, and moderators names are dark green. They're keep YWS family friendly and are great people to ask if you have any questions!

The people in red are the admins, and they are wonderful people that keep YWS up to bat.

We have a Storybook forum! It's sort of like role playing, except we try and improve our writing whilst being in a storybook, and SB posts are usually longer than those of roleplays.

As of the latest update last night, we are once again using the 2:1 ratio! Meaning that for every work you post, you should do at least two reviews. After all, the more reviews you do, the more you'll get. (:
