It's gone so quick
It feels like a day
That I first walked through those doors
Time seems to run away
Year seven's over
First year is gone
Second year begins
And time has won
I'll miss all those lessons
With my best of friends
We're being mixed up
It could be the end
I'll befriend new people
New timetable, for sure,
I'll miss my tutor
And hanging round with us four
I'll mis my art class
With the stressy art teacher
The lesson I'll miss most
Is RE, where we pretend to be preachers
Year eight starts soon
In warm, crisp September
Our year seven flame dies slowly,
And burns out till an ember
New tutor, new rukes
Are fitted into place
We choose our GCSE's
It'll go at a swift pace
I bet I'll make new friend
And leave the old ones behind
How could that happen?
They'll always be mine
I'll try to do better
I'll promise my self that
but what if I don't?
My dreams will go SPLAT!
I want to do literature,
But, I'm still not sure
My friends all want to do dance
They're all great, I'm sure
So, I bid you farewell,
My year seven life
Teenager next year!
Oh crap, it's time
I have a few days
Untill I'm let go from school
I have my holidays,
Which I think is cool
I have a very good feeling
It's all about to change
From the wickidly awesome,
To the bizzare and strange
Thing will be different,
I know that for real
I need to make my mum proud
And get an appeal
My sister's will go to uni
I'll be on my own
I like it that way though
And we still have phones
I have no doubt
Next year will be great
Goodbye year seven
Hello year eight
They don't even know you
All they see is scars
They don't see the angel
Living in your heart
Let them find the real you
Buried deep within
Let them know with all you've got that you are not your skin

Hi!

First off, might I suggest breaking this poem into stanzas? It would be much more pleasing to the eyes. :)

Okay, off we go into the poem.
ilovemyboys wrote:And hanging 'round with us four

You should probably change round to around or put the apostrophe in before the r.

ilovemyboys wrote:I'll miss my art class

add another s

ilovemyboys wrote:With the stressy art teacher

okay, so I don't know if stressy is a word or not, but I would change it to stressful.

ilovemyboys wrote:Our year seven flame dies slowly,
And burns out till an ember

No issues with it. This is my favorite line. :D

ilovemyboys wrote:New tutor, new rukes

rukes should be rules. It's an honest typo anyone could make. :)

ilovemyboys wrote:Thing will be different,

add an s at the end of thing

Overall, I really liked this poem. It's very well-written and everything. Just fix those few typos and whatnot and the poem will be good to go! Keep up the poem-writing, and good luck with school!

Hey there! I liked this! :D having read this then the above comment, I agree with them, breaking it up would be nice, then there are a few grammar mistakes. Some punctuation would have helped a little as well. But other than that, nicely done!
Fear me once, shame on you.
Fear me twice, *wakes up* haha you don't fear me =)

Yeah I do agree, putting it in stanzas would really help and make the poem that much better. Apart from that be careful with punctuation and grammar throughout the poem. There wasn't too much but be careful for that. Also, I think there was a nice flow and you depicted everything really well. Apart from that, keep it up. Good Job :)
