My name is Haley. I'm eighteen and have been writing ever since I could pick up a pen, and I was referred to this site by a good friend of mine. It looks quite exciting so far

A. A red bucket

Q. What's blue and looks like a bucket?

A. A red bucket in disguise

Q. What's green and looks like a bucket?

A. A YWSer in disguise as a green bucket which in fact is a blue
bucket but even more deviously disguised as a red bucket!



I'm Apple, your official welcomer! Because I'm first other welcomers, because I am first! This is the magical site of writing where the plains are filled with restless storybookers grazing in the green meadows. Hectic reviewers living it up in the rock built huts of peasents, drawers and photgrapherstravelling around in caravans, the greenies: the nobles of the great castle and Nate and his reddies: the kings and queens of YWS!

I don't think I could top Apple's welcome, you certainly got a stellar welcome there!

So what do you like to write? Poetry? Short Stories? Novels? What genre?

Apple: WOW. Thank you

1) It seems very exciting and full of writing ;D I come from a very small forum, though, so I'm having the slightest bit of trouble finding my way around....
2) Worst series?...hm. I'm going to go with my gut and say those Eragon books
3) Any of my favorites as a kid. I read a lot of fantasy, and I'd be overjoyed to see any of my favorites become movies, actually...good movies, that is. In fact, I wouldn't mind making them myself.
4) ;D

I write a little of 'all of the above' I just finished the novel(la) that I've been working on for almost three years now, but I also like writing odd, quirky, scary, or weird little short stories and flash fiction, and I'm something of a poetry addict. Hopeless case. Very tragic.
As for genre...I love fantasy, always will, but my latest work has been a bit unclassifiable. Mysterious historical suspense tragedy? That sort of works
