Pics my cousins took of me, we had time to burn and a camera and this is what we came up with.

So, if these are pictures your cousins took, I suggest not posting them here. This is a place for us to review your work, not your cousins. It's helpful that you said your cousins took these, but still. If you want people to see the pictures your cousins took, why don't you post them in the thread where people post pictures of themselves? Because honestly, reviewing these would do you no good, since it's your cousins who would need to work on the angles/lighting/styles.

But, alas, here is my brief review of your photos.

Photo One: Did you actually take this one, or was this your cousin's photo? The problems I have with this photograph are the overall haziness, and the distractions. When you take a photo you want to make us focus on your main subject, which here is the horses, right? Well, the wires just above the treetops are too distracting, as is the sprinkler and the small brown pole at the center of the picture near the bottom. Distractions will do you no good in photography.

Photo Two: This is a nice angle and pose. The only problem I find is that your white tee kind of blasts us with too-bright light. >.> It's called a hotspot, and we DON'T like them.

Photo Three: I like this because of the mountains in the background and that I can see that far back. I don't like it because you seem like you are completely posing, and it looks weird. o.O

Photo Four: I don't like this at all. Your face is red, and there are too many shadows to get a decent picture.

Photo Five: This is okay, except there's a hotspot on your forehead that burns my eyes because it's so bright.

ok the pictures are MINE but i didn't have a tri-pod so my coz, i guess you could say, "held the camera and pushed the button haha so they are my work.

Photo 1 : yes i took this one. i'm not really sure what my focus was in this one i guess i just wanted to give the viewer a taste of my home. but thank you for the tips, very useful.

Hey! I like your work, it all looks pretty good. The scenery is perfect for beautiful colorful photos. I love photography because you can find the beauty in anything through it! For example, if you don't really care about it, the first photo may just look like some horses eating. BUT, I can tell that you saw the FULL picture! The water from the sprinklers looks super magestic, and I love the little house in the trees.

I really like the photos of you. In that third photo, all the greenery around your bright blue shirt is really pretty. Your facial expressions are really nice, which gives me the idea that maybe you are into modeling? IDK, but you look good!

All in all, this is a great collection! Keep it up!

I'm here to review as requested. I wasn't sure what you wanted me to review... but I saw this in the Art & Photography forums, noticed that it was by you, and decided to come and review these for you. They're pretty recent so I'm sure that I can hep you out a bit. Also, can I just say that I adore where you live! It's so pretty...

1# This one is probably my favourite out of the three pictures. My favourite thing about it, rather strangely, is the lighting of it. You took this picture at a very beautiful time, which was when the sun was setting, or possibly rising. The fact that the sun is rising or setting makes everything look seriously pretty. I adore how the shadows of the two horses are stretched out far and the road in the background looks as though it goes on forever. in my opinion, you've created some very nice effects with your camera. The only thing that really sticks out to me, quite literally, is the pole-like thing at the bottom of the picture. To me, it kind of like spoils the atmosphere of the rest of the picture. Without that minor issue, this photo could look a lot better. It's surprising how little things can make big differences.

2# Considering this is supposed to be a portrait, I think, I'm not going to comment on how there's a person in the middle of the photo. I can't really critique this like I have critiqued the last one because it's totally different. I could always turn all America's Next Top Model on you or something... One thing that I do like about this photo is the way you've positioned yourself. Although the photo's main focus is you, I find that wheelbarrow thing in the background rather interesting. The good thing about it is that I don't lose focus from you, but I am interested in what the wheelbarrow thing in the background is.

3# As for this one, it's the same as the second photo really. I can't give you a proper critique because it's supposed to be a portrait kind of thing and I have no idea how to critique something like that. I'll try my best to come up with something though. One thing that I like about the photo are the colours in it. They're all such vibrant, warm colours and they really do remind me of summer. You've got browns, greens, yellows and whites, which all contrast really nicely with each other. Nothing is clashing and the picture itself certainly looks pretty. I also like how you're dressed in a noticeable blue colour so that you kind of disrupt the colour scheme. My only negative comment is that, even though you're wearing a bright colour, I'm not too sure that there's a certain focus point for the photo. Basically, I'm not sure where I'm supposed to be looking. I assume that I'm supposed to look at you, but the detailed background makes me hesitate.

Overall, good job! I know practically nothing about photography but I hope that I've somewhat helped. If you need another review, just ask me and I'll be happy to help you out.
