Here are some photos that I took that I liked but they were a little bit dull. So I tweaked a few things, mostly cropping and color boost.

The first one was a bit wierd... but the rest were amazing. I wasn't a big fan of the last one. I liked the one with your feet and that dress or curtains or whatever it was.
The sunset one was probably a very hard shot to get, but I thought it was a little stereotypical. It was beautiful, but not really my style...

Overall, I loved these! :D

All of these are really nice. Well lit and not too dark. I especially like the first picture, how the nails are in focus and the background is blurred. The second one with the person swinging is also nice. The colorful background really makes up for the silhouette of the child in the swing and the rest down there, haha. The effect you have in the second city picture is also nice. I love these! I hope to see more. :D

Hey jem!

Wow! Most of these look awesome! I'll give you a more in-depth review for each photo, if that's okay. ^^

Picture One: Not my favorite out of the group, but not a bad photo. The background, while nicely blurred and not busy, is a bit distracting, I find. Otherwise, this is good, just not my favorite.

Picture Two: My favorite! I love love love love love this! You've truly captured the motion of the girl on the swing, and the colors are gorgeous! My only suggestion for this piece is to crop out a little of the bottom - too much black can make the picture seem heavy, and can also be a bit distracting. But honestly, it's not really anything to worry too much in this photo. It's wonderful!

Picture Three: My least favorite of the group. This picture seems a bit blurry to me, and I can't really figure out what the main subject is because you've got so much crammed into the photo. The telephone poles and lines in the background are distracting, as is the tree branch in the foreground. I'm not sure if you meant for the Exit sign to be the focus, or the three circular...things (can't think of what they're called at the moment), but I'd make it a bit clearer what it is you're trying to make the subject.

Picture Four: Another of my favorites. I love anything to do with a large city (and by large I mean anything with tall buildings *stares in awe*) so naturally I love this. The colors are nice, and the angle is a bit overdone but not painfully so. I don't really have anything to critique on this one.

Picture Five: My first response to this was EEK! but I think I'm starting to warm up to it now. It's just editing with saturation, right? I'd tone it down just a little bit, so that it's not quite so bright and pop-art-y. Otherwise, I do like this one. The colors themselves are awesome, even if they are bright.

Picture Six: Hmm. I think I'm 50/50 on this one. I like the idea, but I'm not a huge fan of the angle, and I feel like the girl's toes should be equally in the light, not just one foot and a toe. Also, I think you could crop it a little bit more on all but the left side, so that we can still see the fabric but a lot of the unnecessary black is cut out. So all in all not bad, but it could be better, I feel.

Picture Seven: At first I didn't like this. And I'm not sure why. But after looking at it again, I take back my original opinion. I really, really do like this. Your subject is very clear and nicely focused, and you have circles of confusion in the background, which adds a nice effect. I think this one would be in my top three from this group.

Picture Eight: Ehhh I'm not a fan of this one. It's too bland and overdone, and the reflection is really bugging me. Sorry. :/

All in all, I really liked most of these. The second picture is absolutely beautiful! Keep up the good work, and PM me if you have any questions! Hope this helped!

Ahhh, my first review. Let's give this a shot.

#1 I like it, the color is good and the focus is perfect. I just wish that you chose a less distracting background because in my head I was drawn to figure out what it was in the back there.

#2 I absolutely love thsi! But as it says somewhere above, you should crop out a bit of the black.

#3 Busy, but yet, I like it. It has a weird pull for me. There really is no subject it is random but I do enjoy this photo.

#4 I think this is a good photo but yet I don't. It doesn't exactly have a subject and is too busy. Sorry, it is nice just not really what I like.

#5 Same as before ;) The colors look good but they are a little bright for me.

#6 This picture is neat but I don't really know what to say.

#7 MMM starbucks hahah. I like the angle you took this from, and the focus you captured.

#8 The feet on the dashboard is a cool idea, I am just not a fan of the setting behind it.

I liked most of these and hope to see more!

Just a short post :P

I really liked these apart from the finger-nails, which was rather random but didn't have a whole lot of creativity or feel to it, the SUPER-SATURATED city (It's just a personal preference, but I hate over-saturation on pictures :P) and the exit sign with the three... wheely-things :xd:. This picture is relly confusing, blurry and I dont see what it's trying to achieve.

Yet, apart from these little-nit-picks, great photos!

Hi there! I haven't really reviewed photography before... But I'm giving it a shot.
Please don't take my nitpicking personally. I'm always worried someone's going to think I'm a jerk.

1:
I personally don't like this image. It might just be my inner-snob, but your nails! You have ridges in them... eat more healthy foods, woman! :D The background is blurred excellently, but it takes away from the foreground. The finger closest to the right is blurred too much, in my opinion.

2:
Brilliant shot! I love the variety of color in the sky! I would darken out the reflection of the windows, and use the spot-healing (photoshop) on the power line.

3:
I like it, but I don't know what it is. Too much is crowded into the photo.

4:
I like this photograph, don't get me wrong... but it's too crowded for my tastes.

5:
This makes it SO much better for some reason. I love this photo!

6:
Eh, it's okay. It kind of bores me a little bit.

7:
First off: I LOVE Starbucks! I can recite my order in my sleep. :D
One problem, your camera went off focus at the left-most part of the picture. Other than that, it's magnificent!

8:
This photograph is my least favorite. Nothing against it, it just does not wow my at all.

So sorry, hope I didn't come across as mean or anything!

Hey Jem. Yeah, you know what I'm doing.

#1: This is okay. I love your sparkly nail polish...that's for sure!

#2: Wow, this is so cool. I love how everything is pitch black beneath her, and how it looks like she's super high because of the house she's over. I just don't care for how it seems like the girl's arm is shooting out of her chest.

#3: Hm. Meh, I don't like this picture so much. As the others pointed out, this picture is a little bit too busy.

#4: (Ugh, I keep wanting to press the shift key when I'm typing numbers. xD) This photo is nice, but I wish it had a main focal point (ex: red car). Again, this picture is really busy like the last.

#5: Weeeirrrd. This picture should be called 'Neon City', or something. I love the road's colors.

#6: Interesting. I like how the silver circles on the dress sparkle. Besides that, I don't really know what to say.

#7: Starbucks! This is my fav. picture; it's perfect. I love the angle this picture was taken at, and I especially love the bokeh effect! <3 in the background.

#8: Feet on the dashboard; I do it all the time. Soooo comfy. Once again, the picture/the idea is only okay-okay, but I love your nail polish.

Hope I helped! *likes* (I'm only doing this for the bokeh! Haha, just kidding.)

Heya jem :D

This in't going to be a very good review... sorry. It's just that I saw these pictures and I really liked them! Because of that, I thought that I'd drop by and leave a comment. I tend to do that a lot in the Art & Photography forum...

Out of all of the pictures, my favourite would have to be the one of the second one. I absolutely adore the sky in it. The colours are beautiful and I love the effect that the girl on the swing creates. It looks like a silhouette in front of a really gorgeous sky. I love it. XD

Sorry this hasn't been an actual critique... I just really liked them!

xoxo Rhian

these are really good! I love the looking down at feet, starbucks, and swing pictures! I like these the most because it really gave me a sense of perspective. Not just looking at something from a standerd view but from the view from people's different angles. Cute! And that's what you seemed to have done in these pictures really well. Even the buildings one is from a different perspective. I also like the feet sticking out ones. It makes the watcher feel like they're you.
I like how even though you said they were tweaked, they don't look it. Besides the different colored buildings one... that one I'm not really fond of in this "collection". While the others are subtley tweaked, this one you can tell. It is very art deco and I like it. Just not here...
These are great and thanks for sharing them!!!
