Mark Your Calendars: July 11th is Radio Day

Nate · 2010-06-30T07:29:51Z

That's right guys and gals, YWS will have a brand new radio show on Sunday, July 11th! This show is going to be an open mic show, meaning you can call in and contribute what you like! At various points in the show, we'll also switch over to some awesome indie rock. What can you contribute? You could read a poem or a piece of flash fiction, sing something you wrote, showcase your musical talents, etc. The choice is really up to you. All I ask is that you send me a PM sometime between now and July 11th just to let me know what you will be contributing. That way, we'll both know beforehand what to expect! The show itself will last for 1 hour, although we can extend it if I get a lot of responses for the open mic stuff. Because of this, please send me a PM asap if you're interested in doing something. That way, we can fit everyone in without scheduling conflicts. Otherwise, I may have to turn some people away. Show Details When: Sunday, July 11 Where: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/yws/2010/07/11/yws-open-mic Time: 10 pm GMT International Times: United Kingdom & Ireland: 11pm United States & Canada: Atlantic: 7pm Eastern: 6pm Central: 5pm Pacific: 4pm Alaska: 3pm Hawaii: 1pm Australia & New Zealand New Zealand: 10am, July 12 Eastern: 8am, July 12 Central: 7:30am, July 12 Western: 6am, July 12 India: 3am, July 12 Philippines: 6am, July 12 South Africa: Midnight Finland: 1am, July 12 I think that covers all the major YWS timezones...

Lumi- I never thought of it. lol

I think I can't make it so I'll just find a vacant time to listen to it afterwards but really... I want to.

I'm so listening to that. Who cares if its gonna be at 11 p.m. and it's a school night? I'm staying up and I'm still considering if i should contribute anything or not

Well, I shall definitely try.
Can it be an article? (A small one.)

Though 3 a.m.on a college day, I'll need a zillion alarms. But yes, if I'm not burdened with weekend work, I'll do it.

I might give some thought to a small contribution. It could be fun.

Nate, do you just want to know a rough idea of what we would be reading or do you want to know exactly what we're doing? Just wondering?

Never forget who you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.

Just a very rough idea is completely fine. If for example you plan on reading a poem, then all I need to know at this point is that you'll be reading a poem.

I am gong to try my best to call sometime in the end. Like an hour after it's started.

(Keeping alarm for 3.45) Let's see if I get up.

Er, Nate? It's 3pm for Pacific, according to teh website. And by your numbers, too! 10pm GMT is 11pm BST, which is 3pm for PST! Otherwise, if it's 4pm for me, it'll be midnight for the UK. Either that or I'm really, epically confused.
