This is another piece of work that I created in Adobe Photshop. It didn't take as long to do as I previously thought it would, but all in all it came out just the way I wanted. It exibits some techniques such as photo malnipulation as well as coloring and contrast. I also added some effects in this piece, one in particular, the sparkles that sweep across the picture and the moon. I had fun doing that, just messing with different levels and ideas. The message or theme I'm trying to convey in this piece is that "No matter what goes on in this world, there is always peace and freedom elsewhere."

This is such a beautiful photograph. There are alot of colors, and they all look good together. I like how you added the different colors in the sky and the water. The sparks also added a nice touch. I have a few suggestions for the Statue of Liberty. I think you should make her bigger, because isn't she the main attraction of the photo? And the light shining on her makes her torso hard to see;she almost blends in with the sky. And I think the water should be lighter, especially since it's hard to see the bottom of her skirts. Other than that, good photo, and I look forward to seeing more of your work. :D

I agree with you about some of the things you mentioned about how it should be bigger and about the lights infront. I made her small on purpose to show that if you want liberty, it's going to take some time to get there, if that makes sense. Also, I had the water darker than it should be, so it could cover the lower portions of her skirt, as if the water level had risen to that height. But thank you for the critiques it really helped. :D

I like that theme, so clever and creative, and it does make sense. And as for what I think, it doesn't really matter. All that is matters what you think of the picture, and if you like the way the picture is, then keep it. And I love the messages behind this already beautiful photo; personally I think the hidden meanings behind this photo add to its beauty. This picture was very inspirational by the way. It makes me want to create something like this to show the importance of liberty, and how lucky we are to have it. Thank you for reminding me of that.

Hey, Prism. KD here to review.

Wow, I think you did a nice job with this.

I love the reflection of the sky colors on the water, which is really nice. (I don't know whether you did that or not, but, I like it!) You did a great job with making the sparkles on the far left of the picture seem closer to the viewer than the rest by making them brighter/stronger, and you also did a good job with making the sparkles falling behind the hills seem farther away by making them smaller/weaker.

On the other hand, I don't care much at all for the texture covering the sky, if you know what I mean. It doesn't help this picture look any more realistic. But, again, maybe you didn't do the texture, and the picture came with that? It would be great if I could see the original.

And yes, as bluewaterlily sorta said, it would be nice if you could add a little more contrast between the statue and the sparkles.

Hope I helped! Keep up the good work-

KD

Thanks Kaedee for the advice and again about the sparkles. This was the original image before I even started.
