I'm unable to view the picture. Did you upload it right?

PM me if it works again. I'd love to see it.

This is a very colorful photo. The bird's feathers are very vibrant. My only complaint is that the bird's tail feathers and the background were a little blurry. Other than that, it's a really good photo, and I can't wait to see more of your photography. Good luck with your photography and writing. :)

Oh wow it's so cute! Great angle and great focus!I at first, I thought it was a stuffed animal. Then I looked at it for a moment and went "Oh! It's real!" nice picture!

I know I am not the first person to have said this (nor should I be the last) but I think this is a marvelous picture! The only comment I could make was that I wish the bird wasn't standing on that white pipe-thing. A more natural perch would have just sold the picture for me. That was something entirely out of your control, however, so you are not to blame.

On a side note, what kind of bird is it? He/She is absolutely gorgeous.

At first, I thought it was a toy parrot or something of the like... Haha. But I looked at it again, read what you wrote underneath the picture, and realized that it was real. That's a real nice picture. Honestly. Everything seems perfect with this picture, especially the bird (of course). But I think it would've looked better on a perch, like the person above me said. Even so, it's still a great picture and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your photography.

Good job.

Hey Finishedmakingsense! What a beautiful bird! Did you enhance the colors in photoshop, or just edit out some minor flaws? You did a great job of capturing a moving animal at just the right moment; I fail at that -- I always hesitate too much. Great work!

This is incredible! What a beautiful bird, its colouring is amazing. I really like how you’ve focused and angled this, taking any emphasis from the background and placing it all on the bird. I keep meaning to get a decent camera, and pictures like this re-emphasise that! Like TheAuthor said, it would have been nice if he'd been perched on a tree or something, but that's something that can't be helped, but the presence of the wood at the side make up for it, you still have a link to nature, so I still love this! :)

Thanks everyone for the praise. The bird is some kind of macaw, there are so many that I don't know what kind. I boosted the colors in photoshop as well as cropping out another white pole to the left, which made a big difference. The bird is practically domesticated, he lives outside at a refuge. He could fly away if he wanted to, but chooses to stay at his home. I have some other pictures from this day that I'll probably upload. Thanks, again!
