I raised an eyebrow as the girl- Astria, my mind firmly corrected- tried to turn down the street. I took her elbow, prayed she wasn't as violent as Philly had said she was, and pulled her to the burger place that was literally right in front of us. Almost immediately, she both snarled and twisted my wrist. I yelped.

"Just thinking that this is closer," I said, pointing at the diner. She narrowed her eyes. Well, more so than they had been.

"I'd prefer we wouldn't."

"Too dirty for the high and mighty Shadow Girl?"

"Stop calling me that. And... bad experience."

"Oh? What could possibly be bad about this little place?"

"Encounters."

"With whom? Employer? Friend of a past target? Ooh- mafia? Gang?"

She rolled her eyes. "Others. Like us."

My jaw dropped a little. Others? Astria swore suddenly. "What?" I asked.

"They're still here."

Just then, I saw a boy, close to my age, look up. "You again?"

"Yeah. Me again."

I almost squealed. "Oh, this is great! C'mon, Ria!" I said. She froze, jaw set.

"Stop saying my name."

"Whatever you say..."

Kiersha

They were all blabbing away, introducing themselves to the knew girl. I took a step back. No one noticed. I took another step. Still no one noticed. I smirked and turned to walk off. I slid my locket back on. I suddenly felt someones hand on my wrist. I pulled my wrist away but they didn't let go. I took a deep breath and pulled away again. This time my wrist slid through.
"Where are you going?" They asked. I turned my head, looking back at them.
"I was going to go away, but your making that difficult." I turned around and stepped back into the group. I held out my hand for the knew girl. She smiled and went to shake it but her hand went right through. She looked confused for a moment, then probably realised that was my power. I was smiling like a cat.

I rolled my eyes and smiled a bit. Although Kiersha kept trying to leave, you couldn't help but like her.

Keirsha

I wish they would just let me go already.
"So what? Are we going to stand here and wait for, whatever it is to come get us?" I asked impatiently. If they were going to keep me with them then I wasn't standing in an ally all night. Then it hit me. They couldn't force me to stay with them. I turned to walk off. I heard chaze yell to me after about ten steps.
"Hey Keirsha! Where are you going?" I thought to myself Why do you care? But I said,
"I don't want to stay here and you can't make me." I turned crossing my arms at him. He knew I was right.

Ria

I raised an eyebrow. He was not going to make me go back and join their clueless little group. I didn't care how great he thought he was. I tried to go invisible, but before I could, he grabbed my elbow. The world halted. I mean, literally, time stood still.

"You're not going anywhere," he said firmly, brown eyes boring into me. I set my jaw. He let his free hand drop, and time resumed like nothing had tainted it at all.

"You can't stop me."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Huh. That's funny. Last time I checked, I still knew everything about you."

I took a step closer.

"You don't know anything."

"I know there is a group of people just like us right there, and you're giving up a chance to change yourself."

"I like myself just fine, thank you!"

"No one likes themselves 'just fine'!"

"Wanna bet?"

"Either way, this is an opportunity!"

"No, an opportunity is when a person with infinite wealth gives you a target!"

"Maybe for you, but some of us aren't heartless killers!"

"Heartless killers?!"

"You heard me!"

"Um, you know we're right here, right?" another voice said. I glowered. Roy smirked.

Jerk.

"I don't want to stay here and you can't make me." Keirsha said. We all knew that she was right.

"Well, how about we all get something to eat. I'm starving." I said.

"I'm cool with that." Chaze said. The rest of them all nodded, but Keirsha just rolled her eyes.

"I've already eaten." she said, annoyed.

"You can still sit by us. We can all get to know each other." I said. She sighed.

"Fine. I guess I'll come."

I smiled. Fate had brought us all together. I didn't see the point in splitting up again.

I didn't really have an explanation for the relief I felt that Kiersha was coming with us. We had to stick together, that much I knew. And James had brought up a good point himself. But I knew eventually she would leave. "Why don't you want to stay here with us?" I asked her.

"I'm more of an alone type of person," she muttered.

"Well, we like having you around," I said.

Keirsha sighed.

"I guess I'll hang for a while, but I'm really not a people person. I fly solo." she said.

"I really think we need to stay together. Us all meeting here wasn't just a coincidence. We all know that this was strange. It had to mean something. Aren't you just the least bit curious?" I asked her.

"I don't really care." Keirsha said.

Chaze sighed.

"There's really nothing we can do to make her stay." he said to me. I nodded.

"Well, I do want to find out what's going on." I said.

"I told you I would stick around for a while, just don't count on me staying." she protested.

"Who knows. You just might." I said with a smile, though I didn't believe myself that she would.

In the winter months, gale storms in Svalbard can reach wind speeds of 130 km/h. Accompanied by or following snowfall, such storms can reduce visibility dramatically, more so in the winter months of the polar night. During these storms, travel is not advised.
