Woodwork Box!

Due to my horriable camera, this is pretty blurry, but I hope you guys like my box!


Writing & Drawings on the lid, yin and yang (which look quite correct in real life) on the side


On the side: "It doesn't matter how slow you're going as long as you never stop." You can read it clearly in real life. I find it ironic that I have Yin and Yang on one side and a Confusious quote on the other xD


Again, my smexy lid and 'Kate' on the front - which is me, if you didn't know!

I love this! Did you construct it as well as decorate it? Maybe if you feel like going over the top you could paint some water colors where it's looking empty and add a layer of varnish on it.

Do you keep your poetry/art in it?

I would if I had any, and yes, I constructed it slowly and painfully in my woodwork class

But this is a very cute piece of craftsmanship. Well, of decorating craftsmanship. I’m guessing you didn’t make the box (for some reason you don’t strike me as the table saw, router, and wood glue kind of gal) but I could be wrong.

What I do wish is that I could better see the image on the top of the box that’s in blue. It looks like it must be very pretty, but as you mentioned, it is a bit blurry.

Still, I think it looks very nice and it’s definitely a box worth story your writing and drawings in.

Nice job! I didn't take you for a wood-working kind of person, but this is pretty cool! I would have more to say, but the pictures make it pretty hard to see anything. However, it's a nice bit of decorating and woodworking! You should be proud!
