Hello! I really liked all of these, but my favorites were the pictures of the clouds in the sky.

Picture 1: I love how dramatic the lighting is in this one. The only complaint I have is that black thing in the left hand corner. Maybe a part of a building or something?

Picture 2: This picture could have been a little more clearer, but I think all the green is just lovely. I don't get to see a lot of green where I live. :(

Picture 3: Here, the lighting is just a little too bright, also, the picture could have been a lot more dramatic if you focused on one of the trees.

Picture 4: Loved this one! Very tranquil.

Picture 5: I like how the trees are kinda reflected in the water, but the muddiness of the water detracts from the overall niceness of the picture.

Picture 6: Nice shoes! :D I like how they aren't all centered in the middle of the picture; how they're just off in the corner.

Picture 7: This picture is on the bland side in my opinion. There aren't really any eye-catching things in it.

Picture 8: Loving this one too. Again, very dramatic lighting. It's beautiful.

Picture 9: Meh, it's so-so; maybe if you adjusted the lighting a little bit, it could be really dramatic looking.

Picture 10: Love how the tree is all shadowy and dark and then you have the colorful sky behind it. Nice job!

Picture 11: Again, it's pretty, but nothing really jumps out at me.

Picture 12: HORSE!!! :D I like it, but it's just a little blurry.

Picture 13: More horses!!!! I like the perspective of this one, but if you're into photoshop or anything like that, I would suggest making the colors a lot more vivid.

Picture 14: I love the water in this picture. I think if you just focused on the reflection of the trees in the water, it would be just as awesome.

So, basically....I wish I was where you were!! These are some great shots and everything is just so..green! Hahaha. I guess that's what I get for living in a desert. :P

Aw! Then you need to go visit the East coast sometime. Always lots of green in spring- and summertime! :D Though...it is appallingly hot at the moment.

The only complaint I have is that black thing in the left hand corner. Maybe a part of a building or something?

Yeah. I was standing in my garage when I took these. xD I could probably crop that out, but I wanted to preserve them as much as possible (so as not to "cheat" ;) )

Here, the lighting is just a little too bright, also, the picture could have been a lot more dramatic if you focused on one of the trees.

Those are rocks. :)

This picture is on the bland side in my opinion. There aren't really any eye-catching things in it.

If you look closely, there's a footprint on that rock.

I like the perspective of this one, but if you're into photoshop or anything like that, I would suggest making the colors a lot more vivid.

Good suggestion. I'll keep it in mind next time I play with any photos (though, again, my photography I like to keep as "pure" as possible).

I guess that's what I get for living in a desert. :P

I'd love to visit a desert sometime! Bet I could get some great shots there, haha. :P Just...I hate the heat. xD Though pure heat is better than hot humid and sticky (bleh).

Thanks so much for the comments! :D

Oh dang. There is! :smt003

I know what you mean and that's okay. :) I'm always messing around with Photoshop because I never think my pictures are "good enough". So, I guess it's more of a self esteem thing. I don't know.

Anyway, these are absolutely superb for non-photoshopped pictures.

Hey Gladius!

Wow, these photos are pretty good, especially for not being photoshopped or otherwise edited!

#1. I love the contrast in this one, and the colors of the sky. The blue, yellow, and white-gray go together great. A suggestion though would be to crop it so that all your corners are clean, and you don't have that black triangle in the upper left. Otherwise, this is one of my favorites!

#2. The rain in this one is an interesting touch, especially since you don't see that too often in photos. I don't really have any complaint against this one, but maybe you could crop out a little of the bottom - the gray kind of drags the eye downwards, away from the rest of the picture. But that may just be me being picky.

#3. This one is in my top three. The colors are wonderful and again the rain is a nice touch. No complaints whatsoever!

#4. I like the reflections in this one, and how they're contrasted nicely but don't have definite shapes. And the branch helps to center the eye and keep the whole photo...er, grounded? For lack of a better word. I really do like this one though.

#5. This one is...not my favorite. The reflections look nice, but as Embee said, the muddiness of the water kinda takes away from the picture. And sadly, unless you plan on editing these, there's really not much to be done about it. But you've got enough great pictures in here that I wouldn't really worry too much about it. :smt001

#6. I like your shoes! No real complaints about this photo, either. The colors are nice, and the green is vibrant and stands out nicely.

#7. I'm not seeing what you were trying to do with this photo. It's kind of bland and not really anything special. It's kind of the same deal as #5 - the muddiness takes away from the picture. But again, you have enough great pictures that I wouldn't worry about it.

#8. My favorite. I don't know if you've heard of it, but there's this thing in photography (and some other forms of art) called the rule of thirds. If you're really interested in photography, I recommend looking it up. Anyway, you've basically got it down in this photo, which is a good thing. Also, the colors are awesome the cloud formation is really unique. At least it is for where I'm from. My only suggestion would be to straighten the horizon, but otherwise this is an awesome picture!

#9. This one is good, but it just seems like a close up of the cloud from #8 (which I'm guessing it is). I like it, but it's not my favorite. Maybe if you captured a little bit of land in it...?

#10. One of my other favorites. I really do like this one. Again with the whole contrast and color thing, I like how the trees are just silhouettes and the clouds are nicely colored. My only suggestion on this one would be to move the centered tree a little bit more to the left or right, so that it isn't completely centered. Again with that rule of thirds thing. But this is probably my second favorite out of the group - great job!

#11. Hmm. I'm kinda 50/50 on this one. I like it for its simplicity, and yet I don't like it because it seems like you could have done more with it. Kind of hard to explain, I apologize. I think on a sunny day, if you were to go back to the same spot and take the same picture with a bluer sky and a few less clouds, this would look awesome.

#12. This one seems a bit blurry. I like how the horse is a little cut off at the bottom and not completely centered. The colors are good, too. I'm gonna be picky for a second and say that I'm not a big fan of the fence, but I know there's not really much you could have done about that. All in all, I do like this one.

#13. Another one I'm 50/50 on. I like the colors and I like the angle, but the picture itself is a little blurry and seems lopsided. Also, the bucket on the fence and the hose coming out of the one on the ground are a bit distracting.

#14. This one is good. The reflections in the water are really, really cool. My only complaints would be the hose and the wire going across the center of the picture. Also, if you could crop a little bit off the top so that you don't see those few little things, it would help.

All in all, you have some awesome photos in here, and a really good eye. Keep taking photos! I'd love to see some more from you!

Just a bit late getting to this. xD

1-
The composition could have been shifted just a little bit to the right, I find, to cut out that black triangle in the top left corner. Otherwise, the composition is beautiful. I love how the tree frames the sun and the bottom of the picture.

2-
The rain here is just so pretty, with the sun filtering through it. I find the bottom is a bit heavy; seeing more sky would have been nice. Otherwise, I liked this. I even like the trailer in the back because it gives the picture a focal point for your eyes to rest on and slowly take in the image.

3-
The tree, I find, is too centered. I think I've told you about the rule of thirds? Yeah, apply it here. The rain and sky, again, is beautiful. It's just shifting everything to the left.

4-
The centered position works here, oddly enough, because both ends of the stick are at third crosshair points. There's also a lovely line with the branch and how the reflection just follows it. A very nice picture.

5-
Despite the different tones in this image, I don't find it all that interesting. There's no real focal point to everything. Although it is somewhat nice to just glance by, it's not a picture that makes me stop.

6-
This one is adorable, with the shoes right by the water's edge. It tells a story in the composition and I really like that.

7-
The mark on the rock is interesting, very interesting once I noticed the mark on it, but it's not one to capture my attention on that factor alone. I love subtle stuff in photography, but that's a bit too subtle.

8-
This is one is pretty much a "wow" shot. I do find the mass of clouds a bit too centered vertically; the horizon could stand to be lower on the picture so we don't have so much of a black bar at the bottom of the photograph.

9-
This shot I just love. You've captured the shape of the clouds beautifully, and the nuances in the clouds' colouring provides natural division so it's not just a wall of white. The most interesting points are also not centered— they're just above and just below. Which makes this shot a lot more interesting.

10-
The whole centered thing again! There's the fact the tree seems to be blocking some of the cloud formations, but your eye is also stopped right in the middle from just scanning over the clouds and starting/ending with the shadow of a tree.

11-
Another picture I like. I find there's just a bit too much space between the moon and the... corn, is it? But the clouds provide some interest. I think the picture could have been lowered just a hair, so we see more of the corn. Right now it's not doing much, while if it were a bit heavier at the bottom of the frame it would ground the picture more completely.

12-
I love the way the horse's head/face is between two trees. It gives the photo a lot of character and makes the focus slightly away from center (as you can tell, I have had it hammered in my head you shouldn't center your subject unless you are doing a portrait). I also love the way you can see a story behind the pose— it's like the horse is rather eagerly awaiting the photographer to come (I wouldn't doubt it, knowing horses)

13-
The waterbasin detracts from this photo, I find. Had you cut it out of the frame, the horses would have been lowered (and moved away from center) and you'd have gotten a lot more majesty in the photo, by seeing the horses in the trees.

14-
This photo shouldn't be all that interesting, but the crystal-clear sky reflected in the water makes a stark and nice contrast to all the brown around the basin. It's an okay photo to look at for a little bit. Not the best just because of the subject mater, but still a well-composed shot.

I really liked them! I esp. liked the clouds! They seem sort of dramatic. I don't really have much to say. Sorry that I'm not helping. I don't really have much experience with photography. Well, keep on writing! :P :D :) :elephant:
