**Well, since shadow has been taken, I’ll just run with one of my own. Hope it’s okay, Moo.**

Name: Raymond Hull

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Prophid used: (if at all, your character may be clean if you'd like. Tell us more about why they took it in the first place, where they got it etc.) Molecular Control. Raymond can control the molecular makeup of his body, which allows him to move freely between the different states of matter. His ability also extends to inanimate objects in immediate contact with his body, but nothing large. For example, he could become a gas without losing his clothes, but he could not liquefy a car.

Other Weapons and equipment: A Japanese tanto.

Appearance: Raymond has slightly spiky black hair and dark brown eyes. He is around about 5’10” tall, with an athletic build and fair skin. He has sharp features, and they are consistently clean shaven. He wears a dark green jacket over a grey hoodie and white shirt, a pair of black jeans, and steel-toed leather hiking boots.

Personality: Raymond is totally reliant on his powers, and so he feels a constant drive to secure a steady supply of prophase. He often regards this as being more important than other people, which has naturally made him into something of a loner. He hates staying in the same place for a long period of time, due to an intense paranoia. He is not afraid of a fight, and will resort to violence at the first sign of trouble, but usually only as a means to escape, using his powers to go where he cannot be followed.

History: From as far back as Raymond can remember, and until the age of ten, he lived in one of the professor’s testing facilities. Like many of the other subjects or patients, he was kept isolated from others, due to the prophase’s potential to destabilise the psychology of its user. Whether it was actually the prophase or his isolation that made his mind develop the way it did, Raymond will never know. When he was ten, with full knowledge of his powers, Raymond made a quick trip through the facility, stole several vials of the prophase he needed, and then escaped into the city. Since then, he has survived almost exclusively on his powers, using them to obtain anything he has needed.

Side: Against the professor. He is afraid of him and everyone who works for him, mainly because he fears that they will cut off his supply of prophase and throw him back in a cell.

Other: Up for love.

Wow...it is confusing. OK, well, it's sort of the same power, but on my character, it does something different. It would be called summoning shadows--aka spirits.
Sorry for the confusion! Luffs ya all!

Oh, I forgot about that e.e Sorry Billy! Personally I think the power should have been yours... but if you're okay with using another then that's fine.

Okay, we're waiting on two more profiles. If they're not up by this evening you'll have to catch up, because we will be starting then :P

I'm going to go and post a DT now, so we can discuss until then.

Name: Lucy Storm

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Prophid used: (if at all, your character may be clean if you'd like. Tell us more about why they took it in the first place, where they got it etc.) Element - Earth. See Lucy's history for how she developed her powers.

Other Weapons and equipment: She has an assortment of weapons, ranging from hand guns to crossbows that she keeps in a black backpack.

Appearance:
Spoiler
[img]http://thepittfamily.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/alexis-bledel-gg02.jpg
[/img]

Personality: Lucy can be described as devoid of emotion, although it is bubbling at the surface now she is no longer part of the army (see history). The AA (American Army) was taught to fight, not feel, as they were soldiers created out of the Prophin. As she learns to live in New York, away from the army and all that she was taught, her emotions are brought to the surface and she has to learn to control them - anger, pride, hurt - all those are embedded deep in her pysche. Her animal instincts tend to stand out a lot though, especially when she is in danger. She is very wary of strangers, and tends to work alone.

History: Lucy Storm was created by the Professor's team to belong to the government's army of Genetically Modified soldiers. She was taken out of an Orphange and drugged with Prophase and trained in one of the government approved army schools that the Professor runs. Here she was taught to fight, not think (A reoccurring phrase in Lucy's life), and it was here that her powers fully developed. She soon learned that her ability was to influence the earth- through her mind she could change the ground, cause chaos and earthquakes. She was strong enough to destory buildings and twist metal and steel and the touch of her hand. For Lucy, this was the norm. Before the ban, she was fighting against other countries who wanted the Prophase banned. After the ban, she was told to stop those trying to find it, although she had been given enough injections of it to sustain her for a while. But something began to change in Lucy's body, and though the Prophase still had an effect on her, the over drugs she was constantly given began to fade, and she started to develop the power of thought. Once this happened, she realized what she had become and escaped from the Army, finding her way to New York.

Side: For or against the professor?
Against the Prof. The Prof made her what she was and is today, a machine full of hatred and chaos. She doesn't want her powers anymore, but knows that she's stuck with them, so she tries to use them for the better.

Other: (Disabilities, possessions, up for love... etc)
Up for love...it's an emotion she hasn't known before.

Theme: (Any tunes that describe them well? ;) )

We're starting. :D

Isaac - Ice - 12am - Empire State Building

A shadow stretched across the walls as a man motioned through the gutted interior of what used to be the Empire State building. Isaac's trigger finger twitched as his ice blue irises snapped towards every movement. His grey t-shirt hung off him like a ragged cobweb, torn and battered just as Isaac himself was from the past few weeks. The trees that stretched their gnarled roots through the ruins groaned in the cool wind, and nearby an owl crooned its lament to the moon. His canine companion whined thinly in her throat, mimicking the uneasiness of her owner as they pushed on through the rubble.

This is dangerous, Trix seemed to be whimpering, casting an apprehensive look his way. He looked down at her, giving her a pat on the ribs, making sure to keep the pressure light so the gesture was silent. Isaac raised the barrel of the shotgun up. The inside of his mouth felt as dry as sandpaper, deprived of water for over a day now. But the promise of an endless supply of Prophase was too much. He needed another hit.

He brought the filthy scrap of paper to his eyes again, tracing the scrawl of words with his thumb. Professor Blackwood. Meeting at 12 midnight, EPS building. Promise of Prophase? The message hadn't been clear; his crackly voice sounding from the radio speakers had been difficult to make out. In truth he thought it was a con; a gang of Prophase thirsty hoodies was probably waiting around the next corner to rob him for all he was worth. Not much, incidentally. He rarely carried the Prophase serum with him, usually just one vial in case he couldn't get back to his pad in time. His heart thudded in his chest, a sickly reminder of how much he needed this substance to survive.

A door creaked.

A snarl erupted from Trix's larynx in surprise, the sound instantly thinning into a whimper of fear. Someone was in there. Friend or foe, he didn't care. No one was his friend in this world. It was do or die, shoot or be shot.

Isaac bristled and raised his gun.

*That can be anyone, possibly someone coming to investigate the radio transmition. Isaac probably won't be friendly, less so if the other person is armed. Feel free to jump in! :D*

Shock

I swore under my breath. I didn't think the door would creak, much less that there would be someone on the other side. I looked up, and whoop-de-do, there's the barrel of a gun, pointed straight at my forehead. Well, that's just great.

I felt a buzzing in my hands, and they were starting to twitch. It would be easy- one jolt, he's out of the way, I get more Prophase. I shook my head. No. I had already killed three today, and he looked far more dangerous. So I did the famous Shock back-up plan: run like there's a thousand guards behind you.

I bolted down the hall, hand on the hilt of my stolen sword. Y'know, just in case. I had one place in mind: the Prophase stock room. I slipped inside, grabbed a box of electro-shock, and bolted again. I was fast- like, extremely fast, and it was no problem for me to get back out on the street before the alarms even started ringing.

I shoved the box in my bag and started climbing up the wall of another building. I reached the top floor and ran across the floor to reach the far corner- my corner. I lifted the sheet I had hung there and curled up on the arrangement of pillows I kept in a little heap. I unloaded each vial into- well, it's hard to explain; it was a wide strip of fabric, with several vial shaped and sized pockets. I rolled that up and tied it shut, then stashed it in the inner pocket of my bag. Disaster averted.

I ran a finger over the top of my tattoo. I closed my eyes. "I did good today, Ren," I whispered. "Got what I needed and didn't get caught. Just like you said." I thought of Ren, sprawled on the concrete floor with the rest of them, her hair matted with blood and clothes shredded with bullets. I shoved the image away and curled up on my pillows.

I was safe here, and that was all that mattered.

Kiara; Regeneration; 12:10am; Empire State Building

Clothes had become a bit of an issue of late. They were hard to find and it wasn't like anyone was making new ones these days. And if they were? Well the workmanship was shoddy and they wanted the only thing worth a damn for them: Prophase. I could feel the cold seeping through the holes in my knitted jumper. I sadly recalled that it used to be a pretty shade of blue but now it was faded beyond recognition and made a stark contrast against my healthy complexion.

I was making my way through the Empire State Building. Slowly. I had a few suspicions about the radio broadcast, but it was hard to ignore such an opportunity. This was where all the action was, duh! And besides. I was running low on prophase. There wasn't really much of an option. I should have made my way over there more quietly, more steadily. Instead I was already inside and poking my head around the corners.

"Hello-ooooo?" I called out. I didn't have anything on me. Except my dagger. But that was tucked carefully into a belt, hidden under my jumper. I was going with the run and roll tactics if anyone attacked me. It was easier than fighting. Better than fighting.

"Stand where I can see you!" a voice called out.

"Right, yeah, so you can can get a clear shot off," I snorted, noting the gun in his hands. I held my own up and stepped out a little. "Just a girl, see. No weapon, see?"

Melonie (Mel)-Clean

I started shaking as the cold air whipped around me. But I finally got to the top of the building, even though I would have rather stayed inside. Bu there were more people inside, and they all thought I had the Prophase. And every time I insisted I didn't, I basically earned myself a new set or bruises.

This was my second day without food, and I was getting weak. I didn't have enough gut left to even pretend I knew how to use my gun, nor did I have the energy. I wanted to kill the doctor, and anyone who worked for him, but first I needed strength back. Just some food, even a little, would be nice.

I remember back to how it had killed my boyfriend, he forgot to eat. the need for Prophase drove him to do nothing but look for it, and he starved to death because of it. And my family, killed by the side effects. The whole world in ruins over one little vial that had come to be a million.

On the top of the building I spotted a sheet strung over the corner. Maybe there was no one there. Maybe just warmth, for once. Maybe even something to eat. I can feel the need, the lust, for that burn inside me. As if insane, I go over and lift up the sheets, but much to my surprise, there is someone under them.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I say, backing off slowly. I instinctively put my arms in front of my face. "Please don't hurt me."

Shock

I narrowed my eyes at the girl. I looked her over. She looked hungry, cold, scared, and tired. Not to mention the five plus bruises scattered all over her. I softened. If the FA had done it for me, it was my duty to do the same. I held the sheet open.

"Come on, I have food." I told her, hoping I wouldn't regret this. She ducked in and took the blanket I handed her. I gave her a bowl of hot soup- I had been cooking anyway- and sat back down.

"Do you need any Prophase?" I asked. She stiffened.

"No." she said coldly. I shrugged and put my rolled up prophin-holder back in my bag. The girl seemed nice enough, meaning she hadn't tried to kill me.

That was good. Not being dead was definitely good.

Merik - Mind Reading - 12:11 am - Empire State Building

I remembered this place. Or, rather I remembered what it used to be. Before most of the windows had been shattered, their glass mingling in the piles of rubble strewn about the floor. Before the cool wind whispered through its abandoned hallways and swirled through the empty rooms. I wrapped my arms around myself a little tighter, shivering.

My footsteps were nearly silent as I made my way through the dilapidated building. I had gotten the radio transmission and answered it by coming here, but I couldn't help the feeling that this was just some sort of trap. It wouldn't be unheard of, or even come as a surprise. But the drive for more prophase (my own supply was pitifully low) carried my feet forward as I kept my mind sharp, and trained for any sound or stray thought.

I passed by another empty room and a gust of cold air rushed by me. I shivered again, lips turning down in a frown. My need for warmer clothes was almost beginning to equal my need for more prophase - winter was soon approaching, and it would be hard to get by when my warmest jacket was riddled with holes and two sizes too small. The thought did nothing to ease my already tense nerves, and I forced my mind back to what I was doing. I would worry about clothes - oh, and food. Where was I going to get more of that? Maybe that old store by the corner of Jackson and-

Idiot, I mentally scolded myself. Stay focused. Right. Prophase supply, possible trap, abandoned building probably teeming with unseen, unheard people just as desperate as I was. It wasn't the time to be thinking about food, even if my stomach disagreed.

I shifted my weight forward and took another step, glass crunching quietly under my foot. At that moment, faint thoughts began to trickle into my mind. Thoughts that didn't belong to me. I froze and listened, the 'voices' getting louder as I concentrated.

Another one? How many are there? What if this is a trap, and she's-

He won't shoot me. And even if he does, his aim is off - it'll hit my leg. Or maybe he's not aiming to kill...

I listened for another minute or two before pulling out my own gun and inching forward. They didn't sound like thugs. Just more desperate people who probably heard the radio announcement just like I had. I'd find them and see for sure. If they turned out to be thugs, I could always run. And if not, well, there's strength in numbers, right?
