Hey, Liz! Welcome to YWS. I hope you're already enjoying yourself here!
YWS is one of the best--if not THE best--sites for young writers, or writers in general. It's a place to help others writers grow, and learn some new things yourself! I've improved so much in my writing because of YWS, and I'm sure you will, too!
One of the best parts of YWS is the fact that every story/poem you post is reviewed. Not many works go unnoticed! This is because most users try and go by a 3:1 ratio-type thing. It means review 3 people's works for each work you post. I think it's a good system, and I try to follow it! (:
The chat room is a great place to meet some of our fantastical users, and a place where you'll get your first YWS-nickname, probably. We're big on nicknames here. Either way, it's a great place to hang out and talk, so you should check it out sometime.
We also have storybooks! These are like role play games, and they can be quite fun! If you're up to it, you should definitely try joining one.
YWS is just a really wonderful place, y'know? XD.
Now on to you! You say you've been writing for awhile. So how long have you been writing? What's your favorite genre to write/read? Do you prefer the rain or the sun? And lastly...what flavor jam do you like?

Can I just say, I love how simple your post is. Don't worry, I'm sure that no one will find you dreadful! No one on this site find people dreadful... unless they have issues, that is. Besides, you seem pretty darn cool to me! I'm in a funny mood, that might partly be the reason, but whatever. I'm cool. K?

How are you finding YWS so far? If you feel a bit lost around the site, or would like to know where something specific is, just send me a private message. Ask me whatever you need to know and I will be happy to help you out. Even if you're not sure about how something works, you know who to ask. Although if you have a bit more of a serious problem, bullying for example, then you should contact a Moderator. In case you didn't know, they're the people with the cool, green names. They're cool, therefore, they can do anything! Not really... they can't fly, as far as I'm aware anyway.

So yeah.... XD How are you? Wow, don't I sound interesting. Don't worry, there are much more interesting people her on YWS than me. I mean, I am totally normal and mature... *cough*. As you can clearly tell. I'm going to shut up now, I'm going on. Sorry about that. I have issues with talking too much.

Hi Mizz. I've been writing as a hobby since I was in 3rd grade, mostly short stories. I tend to give up on what I write quickly, so I've finished very few pieces. My favorite genres to read are humor, horror and epic poetry. I prefer sun because it's better for taking pictures. My favorite jam is fig jam preferably on bread with goat cheese and ham. I think I'll call you Mizz since it rhymes with my name.

I am Esther, and I'm pleased to meet you. This site is a great place for developing your writing skills.

Epic poetry huh? That's interesting. Have you read the Divine Comedy by Dante? I've just decided to. I don't know if it counds as "epic", but it has the long part down. I kind of like horror, but in small amounts. My largest interests are in folk lore and mythology. Do you like that stuff?

We all have the pieces we can't finish. I'm getting better at finishing by only writing two projects at a time. It's good not to overload youself.

So from what I've gathered you like photography? We have a wonderful Art & Photography forum here on YWS and many great photographers here would be more than happy to critique your work. ^_^ Your avvie is quite lovely, by the way.
