Hey, Jackle! This was interesting, especially Kasia's family. I felt as if I was right there in the story, or as if I was Kasia. Overall, this was pretty well written. I have a question for you, though: is this really just a short story? Or does this have more chapters/parts to it? Because if this is really a short story, this seems unfinished. This seems like a snippet of something bigger, since there isn't quite any plot to this, etc., especially since there's no connections between the werewolf sighting and Kasia/Kasia's life, family, etc. Well, hope I helped! See you round-
This was good. =O Your writing style is easy and accessible, with good sentence structure and length variation. Your characters seem natural and the dialogue believable. My first nitpick is the last sentence:
“You’re never gonna believe what just happen...”
Not a good enough closing for this, especially with the ellipses at the end. I'd suggest you cut this section off when the wolf barks, laughing. It ends on a note of conflict, and that next paragraph of questions can come later; Kasia will have time to contemplate the event.
And this sentence from earlier on:
My arms instinctively reached out to her as I took a step forward, turning my face away and closing my eyes so I wouldn’t see how her ankles would snap and her shins splinter when she hit the ground.
Try to picture this image. She's moving forwards, her arms outstretched, but turning away at the same time and closing her eyes. Makes her look kind of like a zombie, don't you think? It's not a natural impulse-- to move forwards and reach out, but turn away and shut her eyes? Either she stumbles backwards and throws her hands over her eyes to avoid seeing it, or jumps forwards alertly to save her. Mixing reactions usually results in a muddled picture.
Overall, I don't have too many suggestions! This is very well written. I think this is a good way to introduce the werewolf aspect; it's unique, something I haven't seen before. I'll be able to give more all-in-all points when I read the other two parts.
Best of luck, keep writing, and PM me for anything!
