I decided to edit one of my drawings - Samantha - and add a poem to it that I wrote a little time ago. I'm actually making another artwork with this poem in it, but it's not finished yet and my scanner is broken plus my camera blurs everything and is mysteriously missing... so here it is, straight out of FotoFlexer!

Hey there, Durrie! =D

Woah, this is really cool. What program did you use to make this? I really like this, but her face seems oddly shaped. I'm not exactly sure what part of it is wrong, but *something* is bothering me about it.

Otherwise though, this is really neat. Keep it up, Dur. =]

Hey there, Durrie. So this is really nifty to look at and read.

I don’t know if it’s the size, but the lettering is a little hard to read. I think it is just the resizing.

My only real negative thing I have to say about this is that the girls neck seems very thin, like her head might tip off and over at any minute.

Still, visually, this is lovely. And it would have been nice if you had submitted this into my Visual Poetry Contest!

Good job, Durrie!

This is really cool. You should consider entering it into Lilymoore's visual poetry contest ( post716436.html#p716436 ).
And I actually just looked up and saw that Lily said the same thing. xD

As for your poem, I like it. Your rhyme scheme is smooth and effortless, and you don't see that a lot in most poetry.
I like how the bright blue stands out against the mostly gray and white image. Nice contrast. And I agree with Lily; her neck is a tad too thin. But other than that small thing, I really like this. Well done.

I really like the poem! It has a sort of deepness and I can feel the emotion in it; very well written :)

I also love the blue color of her eye, and how it stands out against the black and white - very good job on that too :D

The only thing is that, as a couple of others have said, her neck is really thin and off center. It may just look that way because she has no hair; I don't know haha. But I think it's just that it's thin and off center.

Other than that, this is a beautiful piece ^_^

Hey there!
I definitely like the concept, and the execution's off to a nice start, but there's improvement to be made.
The poem, first, is a bit too cliché, and the 'maybe' in the second line detracts from the ominousness of it all. Either it's coming, or it's not. Maybe has nothing to do here.
As for the drawing, I agree with the comments above about the neck: a bit too thin, a bit too frail. Also, this might be just me, but it seems to me like the eye is a bit too big, or at least unbalanced. I'm not sure what it is about it exactly; maybe it slants a bit too much upwards? Not sure, but there's a little something about its shape that bothers me.
That said, I really like the color, and the idea.
Keep it up!

Wow. That is really good. I remember seeing the Samantha picture once by itself and being strangely jealous of your artistic talents. This is really cool and as loads said before me, you should definitely enter it in Lilymoore's contest. :) The only thing I didn't like was her nose. I just think that looks a bit weird. Maybe it's just me *shrugs*

Bu-bye :D

Nice job! This is really pretty. To be honest, I liked the poem better than the picture- but you still have crazy drawing talent. I wasn't ecstatic over the picture because:
- I felt it lacked depth. It was just a picture of a face, you know? She's not showing any emotion besides neutrality, while the poem makes her sound fierce
-Hair? Ears? I sort of saw the outline of what might have been an ear... but that was only after I went back searching for one. And she has no hair. Even if it was back in a bun, you would see some by her ears where everyone has "sideburns", so to speak. If she isn't supposed to have any hair... perhaps you could mention that somewhere?

Overall, this shows a lot of promise. Keep working!

I agree with Jagged. The maybe takes away from the poem.

The eyes really pop. It gives it a nice effect. Keep drawing.
