These are for Lava's photograph contest.

Black and White:

(This one I'm iffy about. It's an old photo and I don't think I ever posted it on YWS. So, if you hate it, feel free to tell me. Of course, you can tell me if you hate the other two too. :D)

Hey! :D
Oh my google, Aqua! I've fallen in love with your first photo! Like, wow. I have no nitpicks on that one...it's brilliant. Just brilliant.
However, I have nitpicks on your second photo. :P Now, I, for one, find the hot spot of the white part of the shoe very distracting. It hurts meh eyes. Like... ouch. Still, it is a very nice picture that makes me think of cool summer days and glasses of lemonade.
And, hmm, the last one. I have mixed feelings about this one. I keep going back on forth on whether I love it or don't love it. I think I'll settle on the fact that I like it; it's quite good, just something is wrong. I think it's the fact that I feel it extremely odd for a person to write all that on their arm. If it is an arm.
Still, wonderful job, Aqua.
XD.

Haha, thanks Mizz. The last photo is indeed an arm. I agree it's not something that would occur through chance. But, then again, do people usually take their shoes off in the middle of a field and begin to photograph them? :)

Hey Aqua! Since these are for Lava's contest, I'll focus on her criteria. :D

First one: Meh. It's okay. I'm not a fan of weird angles like this, so that might be what's turning me off. As for the colors...The first thing you notice is definitely the blue. :)

Second one: As a standalone picture, this is really good. There's a cool contrast between the green and the blue. However, I feel like the green takes precedence here; the blue is kind of downcast compared to it. :/

Third: I think I could really like this one if it weren't for the downward angle that it's shot in. It's really vertigo-inducing, and the lack of color gives me nothing to hang onto. I know that it's supposed to be that way, but the angle is key to making that better. :D

Hope I could help!

Hey there, Aqua. =]

Ooh, I forgot I was entering that contest. o.o Anyways, I really like all of these pictures, you did well finding ways to get the wanted colours. =]

First Picture: I like the different blues and the way it looks, but like Knightley said, the angle bothers me. I like it otherwise.

Second Picture: Very, very nice. I like how this picture looks, though it seems to learn more to showing green than blue, in my opinion. But it still could be used as blue.

Third Picture: Ooh, this one is really neat. The only thing that bothers me is how much of it is blurred. It's nice to have some of it blurred, but maybe a little less of a blur would be nice. Otherwise, I really like the look of that picture. :)

Keep up the great photography, and I hope I helped a little, haha.

Meh, first one I don't love. But the second and third are awesome! I like how the second has a sense of simplicity, like... summertime. I don't know, my mind works weird, so bear with. It reminds me of summer, so there.

The third feels like there's a message in there, like it's deeper than just writing on an arm. I think there's a dark beauty about that one, like the type of pictures that have girls standing in the rain, or black roses.

Like I said, weird mind, try to work with me. I like these, they all seemed like they had messages behind them, which is a really great thing.

I keep reading about three pictures, but my browser only loads two. The black and white arm and the blue shoes in green grass with a from-above angle. What's the third?
Anyways, of the two that I can see, I definitely like the arm the most. maybe it has to do with the fact that I absolutely had to read what was written (I'm not sure, but I think: "Don't stop. Never...pill my hand...") and that kept me glued to it. As for the shoes, nice, but there isn't much vividity (I made a new word!) that I like so much, maybe playing around with saturation a bit?

Oh, sorry, I accidentally edited out the first one when I was copy and pasting the link (cut and pasted it instead). And then didn't edit it in. I'll PM it to you. xD

Also, what's written on my arm is actually a poem that is ... somewhere on YWS. It's called never stopping, or something like that. In my portfolio.
