ELINIA
The smells were starting to get to me now. Freshly baked bread and sweets... my stomach was churning. I needed something, and fast at that. "You wouldn't happen to have any food on you?" Shale hissed at a man who had ventured to close and I quieted him. "Shale! Stop it!"
Angel shook her head. "Don't you? I thought you carried some with you all the time."
I frowned. I had a Crystal Berry in my back pocket...but I had planned on saving that for later. I pulled it out. "Look at that," I grumbled, sinking my teeth into it. I loved the things. Beautiful to look at and better to eat.
"Where pray tell did you get that?"
I shrugged. "No idea actually. But I stashed it away earlier yesterday. Surprised it's still in one piece."
A man passed, raising an eyebrow at the foreign fruit and keeping his distance from Shale. "What is that?" he asked, pointing.
I rolled my eyes. "Funny you're more interested in the fruit I carry than the fact I have a pet cowbra." I smirked. "A pet cowbra who still holds his fangs."
The man scurried off without another word and Angel flashed me a warning look. I ignored it. I was getting extremely sick of this place. All I wanted was to return to my troups and listen to the barking orders of the famed Forlo. I took another large bite from the Crystal Berry and started walking. I couldn't keep myself still for even a moment.
"Where are we going now?" Angel asked wearily.
"As if I know. I just need to walk." I held back a chuckle as I thought about the others' expressions when we told them what had happened to us. Oh, to go back... I stumbled, suddenly dizzy. So soon? Was it happening again? "Angel..." I whimpered. I wanted to go back, but that pain was definately something I didn't want to go through again...
