What you lived for
We are all given a life
Given to death
And some are
Brought back
With a reviving breath
We all wander knowing
Not knowing
Always searching
And some are
Finding out who they are
We all whish for better
Discover the worst
And some discovers
That they can choose
If they win or lose
We all want what we can’t have
What we could have had
But few do
Get what they can get
Make their lives set
We all dream of happiness
Of the better version
And some people dream
Of what they could have been
And of how their life is a win
And now I wonder
Who are you?
What path are you walking?
What do you wish for?
Whose happiness are you stalking?
And what do you dream for?
And what life
Is flowing
Through that
Hourglass
We are all born
And mostly we are torn
Some of us are heartbroken
Others words were never spoken
And all of us will die
And I wonder why
You lived a lie
As you never knew who you were
And you walked an invisible road
And your wishes were always false
That happiness you stalked never showed
Your life came to an end
And you never dreamt an honest dream
Of either chocolate milk or whipped cream
You never wished for peace
Of hamburgers with melt cheese
You never asked for either drugs or booze
And never between coke and sprite did you choose
Who were you, nobody
What path did you walk, none
What did you wish for, nothing
Did you search happiness, no
And what dreams passed through you?
Not a single one
And tragic is, you never loved
You were never loved
So what did you live for?
You never lived
What do we live for?
At least we live
We wish and dream
And hope and choose
Some win, some lose
At least we tried
Laughed and cried
Was born and torn
Fed, slept and then dead
At least we lived
Even though we died
