You know you're a dancer when...

Okay, I lost my old "About the Authors" thread, so I'm starting a new one. ^.^

***WARNING: BRAGGING ALERT!***

I was born in Ireland and raised in the United States, and now I can't wait to get out. I'm going to travel all over the world to all these amazing, wonderful places, and I'm going to have the best time. Of that, I am certain. I've already been to Spain twice, Italy, Costa Rica and Mexico one time each, and Ireland numerous times, since I still have family over there and all.

I am in theater, I fence, and I dance four days a week. I'm a lefty, so that comes in handy in fencing. I love theater, and I got the part of understudy for the lead in our fall play, which is practically unheard of at our school. I love to dance, though I know I'm no good; it's just a hobby, I'm not plannin of making a career out of it or anything.

I am funny, but I only know how to be funny around people I know. Before I know a person well, I'm generally nice and open, but I don't really show much else, though I don't know why that happens.

I love Spanish and Geography, though I hate my Spanish and Geography teachers. I love adventure, but I don't know what to do with it when it is dropped in my lap. I keep things for forever, long past when they are useful. I'm friends with boys, but I haven't had boyfriends.

I ... um ... my family:

My mom is very nice, but has an eccentric sense of humor that is, in fact, not that funny. She's the one that introduced me to travel and Spanish, though, and I do love her dearly. I'm told I look exactly like her, though I can only dream of being that pretty.

My dad is 100% Irish, and is sarcastic and funny, and doesn't conform to fashion or society, and I am deeply grateful for him teaching me that at an early age. (My mom loves clothes and fashion, though she isn't a social drone either.)

My personality is a mix of these two: I have a bizarre sense of humor, but I don't fly in the highest social circles and I generally don't care for looking or sounding like everyone else. I'm about 90% Irish and probably not even 5% Czech, and yet I look positively Bohemian. Figures.

My sisters are boring, jockish, and conformists. They emulate 50cent. I think I've said everything about them that needs to be said.

I am highly competitive, am a vegitarian, love chocolate, and like to write poetry.

wow you've travelled loads. you wanna talk bout travelling sometime, just pm me or sumthin. ive been lots of places but mostly in Europe, not Mexico or anywhere.

Yeah, that's what I've been told. And I'm starting to realize it myself: I'm right-handed. How long have you been fencing?

Fencing? Hey I was considering to start fencing myself...is it like, too late or something? Cuz as much as I know usually youngsters start training sports and im like, kinda old to start fencing, im 20

So is there an age limit or something?

And, hello. You sound pretty interesting, as do your parents. Nonconformists to fashion are rare, and it's always so refreshing to meet one. Give your dad a hug for being cool.

And, fencing! Wow! I used to fence, but the teacher was idiotic so I quit.

What kind of dance? I did tap and ballet when I was little, and then I did Irish Dance for 10 years or so. Oooh, Ireland is one of my favorite countries to visit. I love it there. Also, most of my ancestors were Irish.
