The silk. The color of the ivory. Hell, even the spots of mud were the same.
But it couldn't be her's, could it? She told me she died with William. They were hung. for goodness sake. Surely she would have thrown this away after she was found. Wait, she hadn't met William in a barn, she met him when he found her lying on the ground in the woods. What was this? Is this a dream? Or is it a vision? If so, is it something that should have happened or is this the real deal? If it's real then. . . did Ivy and William lie to me? I treated them like family, hell they were family. Why did she lie? To me of all people?
I realized that William was staring at me with round eyes. "Yes," he said, "I can help you, miss." He put down the shovel he was using, wiped his hands on his breeches, and walked over to me. He offered his arm. I graciously took it. "What's your name, miss?"
I smiled at him and told him. "Ivy."

I was wrenched out of my dream by someone violently shaking me. "Rose! Rose! Wake up, dammit, Rose. Wake the hell up." That was Logan.
After the violent shaking had stopped. I heard Landon say, "It's not worth it, man. Her mind is gone. She's not breathing. She's gone." I heard some rustling of leaves.
All of a sudden I felt a hot breath on my face. Someone pinched my nose and tilted my head back. Then I felt soft lips on mine, blowing warm air into my lungs. I felt my chest rise and fall. The person did it again and again. Once in every ten breaths he stopped and compressed my chest. After about 20 of each I came back to realization. My eyes fluttered open to see ocean blue eyes staring down at me. I laid there for a moment, just looking into those eyes before I sat up.
"Where am I?" I croaked. My throat burned. I felt wetness fall down my cheek. I knew then that I was crying, my sobs silent. Why was I crying yet again? Sadly, I knew the answer to that unbearably hard question. "She lied to me. My best friend lied to me. They both damn lied to me." I cried softly. I couldn't believe it. No matter how many times I repeated that in my head it wouldn't sink in. I felt warm hands wrap around me and pull me to them. The hand's arms encircled me and held me while I cried. Once I was dried of tears, I looked up to see who had comforted me through my embarrassing moment.
I looked up to find that the warm hands and ocean blue eyes belonged to Landon. His sandy blond hair fell into his face which gave him am mysterious thing about him.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he brushed a loose piece of hair out of my face.
I barely nodded but he understood the motion. "I went back. Back to when she met William. It was different than she had told me it ad happened. I was her. It was so different. She should have told me the truth. I can't believe she didn't tell me."
Landon pulled me back into his arms and murmured words of comfort, like "It's going to be okay" and "Everything's going to be okay" while I just sat there dazed and lost in my thoughts.
I slipped out of Landon's embrace and wiped my face off and pulled my hair back into a ponytail. "Do I look better?" I asked him.
"I think I liked you better when you were all fragile." He leaned back and smiled at me.
"You should be talking Mr. 'I'm-too-good-for-anybody-other-than-my-damn-self'" I smiled over at him as he mocked hurt.
"I am appalled that you think of me like that, Miss Rose." He smiled at me. I smiled back at him with what must have seemed as a dopey smile. "What? Why are you smiling at me like that?" He asked.
"Rose. You called me Rose. I don't think you've ever called me Rose before." I smiled at him again with what I hoped was a way better smile than before.
He laughed at me, but it wasn't offending. It was more fun and nice. "As much as I love this little get together. We had better find Logan. He thinks you're dead." Landon stood up and offered a hand to me. I took it and stood up.
