Nakito

"You're a disgrace. Get out of here and never come back!"

I stayed silent as Momomoru pushed me out of the large residence, slamming the door in the process.

Today was the day I decided to prove myself. To become a chain just like Mama and Papa wanted me too.

However, halfway during the seal, just as I was going to place blood on the mirror, I panicked. Horrbile images of Mama's and Papa's death, burning in the fire, the smell of blood in the air filled my mind. I let the mirror crash into the floor and was unable to summon my contract into the world. I was forced out. If you couldn't properly get your contract using teh ritual, you were a disgrace to the Narino family and kicked out.

I was alone. I had no family, no friends, and no contract. This sucks.

Nakito

Yay! It's finally starting!

Rayne "Ray" Blackings

I stared at the fire licking at the house. What had I done? Why had I lit the house on fire? I stumbled back, the sound of fire sirens beating loudly. Collapsing into the foliage, sticks stuck out into my back.

Why had I lit the house on fire? What had gotten into me? Water gushing from large hoses instantly lit up the area. People began to crowd around hte expensive house. My foster family stared horrified as their house began to melt to the ground. My arms shook, it was some what satisfying seeing their faces - watching the priceless house burn, burn to hell!

"Where's Rayne?" My foster sister screeched piercingly. I looked up, this wasn't supposed to happen. They weren't supposed to care for me! Pulling ymself shakily towards my feet, I began to shake my head. My foster mother looked around frantically, "Ray!?"

Turning I began to run. Where? I don't know. Just somewhere! Somewhere were they are not. My foot caught in a small hole, screaming it crashed to the floor. Shooting pain running up and down my ankle. Tears began to run down my cheeks; I had failed Mum. As a son and a friend. The sound of her voilin playing made me smile.

I loved that sound. Warm heat began to run over me looking up I gasped. The floor udnerneath me broke, screaming I began to fall into the darkness.

Asterid Herrings

A needy feeling filled me in horror. I could feel someone pulling at me, a forced...something! Standing up in my bed, I looked out the window. What was happening? My legs moved without me. Walking towards the large mirror on the wall. A blue light flickered on and off. Pressing my hand to it, I felt them go through my whole body following in tow.
I spy!

Can there be like more than one moon? I think that's just so cool!

~Ashton~

The moons sure did look good this time a night with the stars bordering them. There were four of them, all revolving around each other. I could stare at them all night, but I didn't have the time. I slid through the window and into the room. I needed a place to sleep tonight, and this was a lucky person to have a thief like me here. At least I got in and out without bothering anything.

The room was dark, I couldn't really see anything. I stretched out my arm, searching for the wall. I found it, and about the time I did, the light flicked on. I stood there for a moment while my eyes adjusted to the light, while a girl looked at me. I could only imagine what she was looking at: a strange boy, wet and mysterious, standing in front of her. Even worse, I looked more like a troublemaker when my clothes were wet. My hair clung to my face, covering my eyes for the most part.

I wanted to run, to jump back out the window, but I was too high up. I'd probably break my leg trying. So I stood there, feeling ashamed of myself. This was the first time I had ever been caught. There's a first time for everything, though, right?

To answer your questions; Forsakin there can be four moons (I like more then one also :D ) and Dragonet; the time period is between the 1800 -1900's time period. Although, this storybook will feature a steam punk kind of feel to it.

Ozanthony “Oz” Vessalius

I sat in the carriage. I could hear the horses snorting loudly, as they trotted quickly across the gravel road. Pulling out my stop watch, I sighed at the time. It was getting late. I looked up at the four moons, every night they were up, yet everyday they were gone. The cart came to a stop, the door squeaked to an open. I stared at a shadow standing in the door way.

"Mr. Vessalius?" A husky voice asked. I saw a glint of satin move as the man bent over and into a bow. I tapped my foot acknowledging. "Yes, it is." I tried a nonchalant tone. It wasn't working very well. "I have things to share withy you, young master." I nodded; "You may enter, Gilbert."

Gilbert stepped into the carriage. He sat down on the other side, the door closing loudly. As if on que, the horses jumped into a slow run. I blinked out from under my lashes at Gilbert. His once youthful face was beginning to catch up on him, grey hair beginning to form at the side of his head.

"It has come to my attention sir that there are some contracts being formed." I shrugged, I didn't really care. I was not in charge of the Vessalius family home, yet. I didn't control who left and who stayed. "Aye sir. It doesn't seem to matter to you as the contracts cannot use your domain as an escape, though this isn't what I am trying to say-" Gilbert continued before I interrupted him.
I placed my hand up, "Gilbert, this is none of my concern. You should really be informing my father of these in condolences. I would be happy to take you to him; otherwise this is not a matter of my own."

Gilbert clicked his tongue impatiently, "Young Master, the bloodied rabbit has escaped its hold. It’s coming after the recently made chains and the human contracts. And though this happened in the past, it is only getting worse." Gilbert leaned in closer, the moons light catching on his winged eyebrows, "The bloodied rabbit has a liking to the four dukedom families."

I didn't know what color Vea's eyes were, so I just said water blue. If they're another color, then just tell me. It's easy to fix!

~Ashton~

The girl just looked at me. Her hair was long and pink and it looked wet, her eyes were blue like water. I didn't move an inch, but my heart felt like it was going twenty miles an hour. I tried to calm myself by taking deep breaths, but my heart still thudded loud in my ears.

When my body finally unfroze, I quickly slid out the window, and on top of the frame, pulling myself to the top of the building. I looked over the edge to see the girl with her head out the window, looking down over the empty alley way. I wondered if I'd ever see her again. She seemed nice enough not to scream when she saw me. She looked up, and I pulled my head back. That was the first night I watched her.

How do contracts get started? And blue eyes is fine, forsakin.

~Vea~

I watched with wide eyes as the boy left in a rush, wondering why he'd been attempting to climb through my window. He'd left a trail of water from the far wall to about half the distance of my room, and I looked at it slowly before peering out to see where he'd gone. Well, he wasn't in the alleyway.. but then, there was no water trail down there, either.

Could he...? I turned my head to look upwards, catching a glimpse of a forehead before the boy disappeared again. How odd. Leaving the window open, I went to have a bath, silently wondering if the boy would return.
Elizabeth: "There will come a moment when you will have a chance to show it. To do the right thing."
Jack: "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by."

I sat on the frame of the window, listening to her inside the room. After that little incident, and she wanted to leave her window open again?

I closed my eyes, leaning my head back on the wooded frame. The cool air from outside and the warm air from the room felt good together. I fell asleep right there on her window seal. Sleep was good. It made me rested. I hadn't slept like this sense I ran away about a month ago. I slipped into a deep sleep, and before I knew it, the sun was beaming down on me.

Rayne "Ray" Blackings

Straightening my posture, I blinked up at the sky. The bright light of a gaslight above my head, forced my eyes to linger to a close. Pain bruised my side, my head throbbing with voilent pain. I groaned loudly, stretching my arms. I heard a defiant crack, as my elbows loosened. What ever had happened the night before, was definietly no dream. That I could feel.

Sitting up, I ignored the buzzing of sounds coming around me. The gaslight began to flicker obnoxiously, the smell made my nose crinkle in disgust. Stumbling to my feet, I felt the key around my neck hit against my collar bone. Where was I? Bright lights showered over a dusk covered city, four moons illuminated down onto the small town. I gaspd instantly, four moons!

"Sir..." I turned quickly, bringing my hands in front of my body in a defensive stance. An elderly man walked from the shadows, a thick green cape covering twig-like shoulders. "What do you want!" I snapped, as he came to a stuttering stop. Lowering his head, he brought his hand into the light. What looked like one of the gears of my chocker, sparkled in his palm.

Asterid Herrings

Screaming, I fell towards the ground. Hitting the gravel with a thud. I moaned instantly, tears of pain and confusion brimming my eyes. Where was I? Standing up, I listened to the sound of heavy hoof prints coming towards me. A large black carrige, pulled by dark brown stallions came out from behind the ribbon like road.

The horses whinnied to a stop. The cab driver on the front hammered on the roof, speaking to quickly for me to understand. The door opened mechanically. A bright eyed boy stepped out and onto the gravel. His suit clung to his body. "Oh, something about this tells me we're not in kansas anymore Toto." I whispered.

"Hello," THe boy called. Another head poking from behind the door. "Who's there!" The other person called loudly.
I spy!

>Could everyone write whether they're a chain or contractor? So like you would write your name and then your race at the beginning of each post. It would just make it easier.<

Cole/Chain:

Relationship with contractor: They're constantly fighting and trying to out do each other. Both of them are tough and determined. But when it's absolutely necessary they make a great team and fight well together. (Is this ok Apple? If it isn't just say so)

Loyalty: Vessalius.

Illegal or legal: Legal

Other: Cole knows Oz. (If that's ok with you daisy) They aren't friends but they talk to each other occasionally. Cole gets annoyed at Oz's flirty personality.

PS. I edited my profile, but only by a little bit. I just changed her power up so that she wasn't so invincible.

That's good, Dragonet. :)

Rayne "Ray" Blackings

Relationship with contractor: Rayne is constantly trying to show himself up against Cole. They are always in competition for even the most stupid of things. Because there personalites are some what alike, Cole and Rayne are almost always throwing things or shouting at each other. Although, when they have to be, they are a team to be feared by and can easily prove it.

Loyalty: Nightray, though pretends to be the Vessalius's.

Illegal or legal: Legal

Other: Rayne looks up to the Nightray family and though he lies to Cole who cannot stand the dark family, his loyalty is fully towards theNightray family. (I hope that is okay, Dragonet?)

Asterid Herrings

Relationship with contractor: It's a very good relationship between the two. There are some awkward times when both are to scared to talk or to nervous to what is about the happen, though they care for each other in a sisterly way. (I hope that is okay, Nepo?)

Loyalty: Rainsworth

Illegal or legal: Not very sure? (I was reading your post and I thought it would be interesting if it were illegal, though that is only if you'd like to do?)

Other: EDIT: n/a
I spy!

~Ashton/Contractor~

I opened my eyes. The girl was sitting on the bed, staring at me while I sat in the window seal. I didn't move this time. I didn't run, or roll our of the window as I usually would if she was attacking me, or screaming like any normal chain would. She simply sat there, looking at me, eyes soft. And then, she did something I wasn't expecting.

She smiled at me, her full lips spreading to show her white teeth.

That's fine, Dragonet. Oz and Cole can be known to each other.

Ozanthony “Oz” Vessalius

I stared at the astonished girl. The horses whinnied louder, the cabbie stood down from his post staring blankly at the girl. Ignoring Gilbert's protests, I walked towards the innocent looking girl. I liked them innocent. Smiling sweetly I bowed, grabbing at her hand and kissing her upon the nuckles. She pulled away instantly, her cheeks red.

"I am Ozanthony Vessalius, but you can call me Oz." I winked, "What brings a girl like you out here into these parts. It's a little roudy at these times of night." The girl looked around instantly, as if fear and realisation had finally filled her. A human. Well, well wasn't this going to be fun!

"I don't know?" She said shakily, stumbling towards me. I motioned towards my cart, I saw Gilbert roll his eyes. Of course he was. She walked quickly towards the carriage before stopping abruptly, "My name is Asterid, Asterid Herrings." I grinned, "Well Miss Herrings, would you like to go somewhere safe?"

She nodded. I heard Gilbert scoff his obvious answer. Why if only I was close enough, I would slap him as hard as I could across the back of his head.

Nakito Narino

Relationship with contractor: The two were shy at first, howeve rthey grew to like eachother. They helped eachother grow as a person and act like sisters sometimes (Yeah it's okay!)

Loyalty: She used to be a Nightray, like her family. However, when they kicked her out, she became unsure and doesn't support or detest any of them. (Is this okay?)

Illegal or legal: I find it cool to be illegal, but how do you make an illegal contract? (Is that alright with you Apple?)

Other: Her mirror was broken during through the contract process so she summoned Asterid to her world, but never finished the contract. The only way to completely be a contractor and chain is for them to continue the contract illegaly (Is this okay too?

The idea that a poem was a made thing stayed with me, and I decided then that I wanted to be an artist, not just a diarist. So I put myself through a kind of apprenticeship in writing poetry, and I understood even then that my practice as a poet was deeply related to my reading.
